Yes, I have a problem with some of this nics people use. And maybe that is closed minded of me, if it is, then it's something I can live with... but here is my reasoning.
 
Dear beatmebloody..... I mean what do you say after that? I have enough trouble writing to someone who's nic is basically 'nilla and starting a convo... If someone with a "I'm only here for the kink" nic wrote to me first, and if their letter was well thought out and not a long list of fantasies... and signed with a nic that was "easier" for me to use... yeah, I wouldn't have a problem starting a dialogue with them.

As far as I'm concerned, the nic people choose represent them on the internet... I can easily explain my nic and it has nothing to do with anything even remotely sexual... now, how is the person with the nic "sloppycunt4horsecock" gonna explain her's? Are you really gonna try and convince me that they weren't thinking about kinky sex when they came up with it? lmao
 
In the same light... if I were to find that elusive unicorn... you can bet your last dollar that his nic is not going to reflect that sentiment back on me... I mean really.... How's this... Hi, I'm ShiftedJewel and this is my loving/kind/gentle/loyal/respectful/slave needledick4gangbangs... Do you see my point?

Regarding online names:  Something clever will catch my eye.   Something sexually explicit or rude will get ignored.  I'd just as soon they had a "normal" name and were polite in their manner.

Regarding nude pics on profiles -  surely this has been rehashed over and over again.   While there are a few odd ducks that like to see a penis picture first off, but I think we've had this conversation enough to know that most of us don't care for it.  You don't whip your dick out to greet someone new when you meet them face to face - don't do it online. 

I'd go so far as to say if someone was serious about being property/owned/finding a domme - don't run around on the internet spreading pictures of yourself and generally leaving an impression of yourself that a Domme isn't going to want to look at, feel proud and say "That one is MINE".

Guess sometimes it just depends on my mood. The nicer the nic... the more of an asshole i've noticed. But asshole to me is someone elses God.... go figure.....lol... But i'll talk to the nicer nic till his true colors show...

But the Huglikeastallion4u2suck.... that brings out the evil in me...and I got to dig into my smartass remarks files....LOL

sometimes they can show off red signs i belive. but most of the time it has no effect on wheater i respond or not. though sometimes i'lll message people because i find their screename to be cute or clever.

I do not respond to names with references to sizes of sex organs, or ones that show a total lack of respect for women. I also am not fond of nics that give commands. But I absolutely will not respond to guys that describe themselves as sexy or gorgeous or whatever, I just find that to be ridiculously pompous.

A lot of dominants that see my nick auto-assume I'm female and that my name is Joy.  But no, and no.

Just wanted to clear that up.  Sorry for making this thread 'all about me'.

What an interesting way to put it... I only wish it (or I) were that interesting. Actually.. Shifted comes from the fact that most of my life I moved from place to place and state to state without benefit of having anything to do with the military (over 60 moves)... and Jewel? In the right setting... I shine.

I have to agree, someone who has put a little thought into their name will automatically interest me. I want someone who has thought it all out and wants to say something about themselves without having to have sub or slave in their nick.

Crass nics put me off ...also nics that  use "txt  or L33T  speak  (G8LUVA4U kind of thing) also make me narrow my eyes somewhat it may not be reasonable but there you go.
I use Dollbecky on this site on yahoo, skype , in real life, with non BDSM people  I dont like having multiple identies ...I would put dollbecky on my passport if I was allowed :P
