ORIGINAL: BossyShoeBitch Victoria's Secret tried to tell me I was a DD. I laughed at them. Ladies, I had the surgery done in November. I am so freaking happy (still!) it was the single smartest move I have ever made! Pain was really manageable. Gruesome bruising though (a plus for this site, I know.) There is SO much misinformation about bra size going on around here, my head is going to explode! 80% of women in the U.S. wear the wrong bra size. Going to the bra dept/store and getting measured by the 'clerk' isn't the answer . You have to find out from whichever dept store you frequent, when the Rep's from the bra companies will be there and make an appt with that person. (I like Nordstrom the BEST ). For me, it turned out that I needed to lower the band size from 36 to 34and to increase the cup size. It's the BAND that gives you support, not the straps. Also, my cup size is smaller if my bra is a full coverage. and larger if its a demi or balconette ( but with demi or balconette you get 'double boob') Wacoal is an amazing brand. They have this 'power band' that has extra strength. And, if there is anyway for you to get the surgery, THEN DO IT! You will be so happy... -BSB *********************************************************************************** I wholeheartedly agree with this. I thought I wore a 38D, but found recently that I wore a 36DD, and I look and feel so much better! DD sounds enormous, but it's really not! Some of my new bras even have 3 hooks in the back, and I used to think more than two hooks was for old ladies! lol Now, I just think of them as my "big girl bras"!
