Oh...boy..Hollywood must really be desperate for ideas.  This movie sounds like a poor remake of "300 Spartans" starring the late Richard Egan.  Although this movie was more fiction than truth, it had great acting and was a pretty dam good movie.

I wish you well

i've gone to the theater...quiet recently, in fact...took gf to see Ghost Rider in her van...it only goes when she goes, since it is handicapped equiped and she is in a wheelchair

don't presume to judge me.

besides, it's a freakin' history movie and i hate history...purposely skipped it in school because it has no bearing in the real life...i have yet to have an employer aske me a history question...so that course of study is only useful to those who want to learn it. nobody can change the past...so it is useless information.

I don't think drive in = theater

Actually, it's an adaptation of Frank Miller/Lynn Varley's Graphic Novel. ( Which is based on the movie ;)

You mean she took you, since she is the one with the vehicle.  She probably had to pay too.

This coming from the person who judges half of the planet's population on a regular basis?  You're a funny guy Mike.

I am free to judge.
How else can I make decisions about people/situations?
You said you took her to the theater in her van.  You can see how that sounds.

As an Historian Michael I will say History can be boring.  However, presented in a certain ways it can be interesting.  Oh how was "Ghost Rider"?...it is getting good reviews here in California..but I still have not forgiven Cage for the awful remake of "The Wicker Man".

He did a much better job in Ghost Rider...he was originally picked to be Superman in the latest movie, but they found Routh and thought he more fit the looks of the role.

Well, that, and Superman Returns totally sucked.

well, like everyone here, that's your opinion, personally, i think it was very well done and Routh pilled it off well.

yet another dull history movie i'll never go see

Of course you won't see it.  It would require actually leaving your trailer and making a miniscule effort.

That is soooo not true.  It is because the movie is filled with half naked men.  Michael never tires of telling us how he feels about men, half naked or otherwise.

You and I must have watched different DVDs. The script was a total mess, and Routh's management should have waved him off of that trainwreck. Kevin Spacey did a decent job, and that was with the best character in the movie.

It's sad when Tim Daly and Clancy Brown get more respect for doing the Justice League voiceovers than Routh and Spacey get for Superman Returns in the same roles.

Or he can't bring himself to see it because all those sweaty half-naked bodies might make him rethink his opinion of men.  It must be torture for him being so close to Ft. Benning and all those young, buff soldiers.  Perhaps, like Gang of Four, he just loves his men in uniform?

I am sorry it is a history movie full of half naked men.  Of which you have expressed your opinion to a rather extensive degree.

Don't forget Benning is where jarheads go for jump school.  So it is not just soldier boys there.
