For me it's people who think certain things DON'T happen in the scene because it's just "too out there."

I'm not entirely certain what you mean by this.  Maybe it's just that my first impressions of the lifestyle came from movies and TV shows where "BDSM = EEEEVVVVVIIIIILLLL!!", long before I ever heard the phrase 'Safe, Sane, and Consensual'.  It has appeared to me that the things most people discuss doing in the scene are far more down to Earth than I would have guessed.  I've actually thought, "Wow, this is extraordinarily tame, compared to what I feared/expected."  It just goes to show that TV isn't always right ;)

As to my biggest pet peeve, it'd probably be short, useless responses to serious questions. For example, I posted about being a virgin, and wondered how best to get into the scene.  While most of the answers were helpful and supportive, I also got a few "Just get laid!" comments.  It just isn't the most helpful thing to hear when you are seriously questioning yourself and/or the lifestyle.  I now return you to your regularly scheduled discussion.  *steps off soapbox.*

I also love the people who have a blank profile and then send an email or request to chat.  How do they expect anyone to take them seriously?  I block and delete them.

Oh dear, it varies!
At the moment I'd have to say pushy people. You know, the kind who ask when my owner is going to drop off the face of the earth so that *they* can be with me. Uh, never going to happen, bucko. That type of attitude does not interest me in the least.

What about the Dominants that try and convince a fellow Dominant to sub for them to explore their "otehr side"?

And the men who think they turn the lesbians straight?

I always found them funny, irl and here.

No offense sambamanslilgirl, but people who don't read the thread and comment on something that had been fully discussed earlier, pages back.

people that actually think i am fantasizing about them  and their flat whitegirl ass when i am obviously just being sarcastic.
and people that seem to drag some sort of puritanical standard n2 BDSM.
fortunately most people here are good eggs with good hearts

mmmmmmmmmm what do I find irritating............mmmmmmmmm

well  I guess I would have to say that some of the lovely um people here are just fonts and pixels on a screen.

there is more than a few that I would like to see more than in this internet dimensional space.

The most irritating thing about Online lifestyle discussions is that everyone is so judgemental about what a person really is.
We are all different and make decisions.  For people to insult one for making a long planned decision is nuts in my opinion.
I had a group for four years, and no one ever appreciates the time involved to run one of these sites.  Everyone wants to critize and hurt people.
Then you have Doms talking about Doming women and raping women.  To me that is not acceptable anywhere, anytime.

People who insult others on a sexual juvenile level and think that because another does not appreciate it that they have a racial issue

domiguy...you made a serious post!  The sky really is falling.

OK, what I really hate (besides those who don't check their spelling) are those who argue and argue and argue on these threads.  I know I've said this before...this is the INTERNET folks.  Does anyone honestly think that s/he is going to change anyone else's mind?  Think how often you change the mind of someone you know in person.  Now, what makes anyone think that it's going to be any different over the internet?  I just don't get it.  You are arguing with words on a screen.  Doesn't make a bit of sense to me.

What else can we change it to?

Your post here was just used as an example.  In this thread it doesn't make any difference that you didn't read the preceding posts.  On some threads it can be irritating and causes people to post things like "see post %$#" .

Again, I wasn't critizing you here.  sorry.
