Gaming and kinkiness seem to hand in hand! I do meet a lot of people into BDSM while playing online games. Another thing kinksters seem to be into are sci-fi movies and tv shows. I went to a discussion about pleasing a woman and one person suggested a glued on Klingon tongue as a sex toy. There was one other couple that admited they do that too!

My two favorite TV channels = Sci-fi and History

I'm a gamer, an off-line gamer. I prefer playing on the systems better. I just finished beating
"Dragon Qwest VIII(the journey of the cursed king)" on PS2, although it's kind of teen to young adultish, it was a really fun game to play and had A LOT of BDSM undertones throughtout the game. For instance there's a woman character named 'Red'(very Dominant) who wears a red leather outfit with thigh high boots with a looped collar around her neck, there are Masters, Mistresses and slaves, it's hilariously funny to anyone in "the know"[:D]!
Has anyone else played it?

Missy.

I have played Dragon Quest VIII before, but really didn't get very far in the game. I rented the game for a few days. There is a lot of games where the characters are dressed up in what could be considered kinky wear. Yet, there are not many that have BDSM undertones to them like DQVIII.

I know that many of the MMORGs have some sub/dom groups going around where one person will become more powerful based off of the activities of others. I think it was EverQuest where you actaully had a xp system that made this happen. One person would be the lord/lady of another and the servents would go out and earn xp for them. It was based on a percentage. I didn't play the game very long, but this system made for a lot of sub/dom type of relationships, at least in my eyes, I'm sure someone who is not into BDSM might not see it the same way.

I'm the top half of a gamer geek couple, tabletop rather than MMORPG.  Despite the fact that our entire gaming group is either kinky or furre or both, we don't really mix D/s dynamics with our gaming plotlines.   The storylines themselves are more important when we're gaming, so we do what makes sense for our characters and the plot rather than acting out real life interpersonal stuff.  Basically we play D&D on Wednesdays, and B&D at play parties, and don't really mix the two.  We do occasionally show-and-tell with new toys during the casual social time before or after a game, but when we settle down to a gaming session, it's all about the game and nothing else.

Llyren -> RE: Gamer subs! (4/1/2007 7:10:56 PM)

It's possibly a sad commentary on how much of a geek I am that I'm more interested in meeting people for gaming than for 'play'.   My sister swiped my Serenity rpg book, and so we might have a campaign starting soon!

Mustardseed -> RE: Gamer subs! (4/1/2007 10:47:41 PM)

Daddy's started getting into a game that looks to be a cross between Dungeons and Dragons, HeroClix and Magic: the Gathering. We haven't played it yet, but he wants me to learn the rules so that we can play. I've only ever played M:TG, and that was years ago. I strongly suspect that I'm going suck at this.

We haven't gotten to the loot issue, yet. Hell, he's only ever flipped through my Munchkin cards - we haven't played that, either! [:(]

Ooo... is that system good?

(I swear I don't want to be Inera)

Well, y'know... I'm pretty close to a Mal personality type already...

Yep, me too.  Mostly I'm here trolling for other gamers, ideally for our local tabletop group, but I run an online campaign too.

The current online campaign is Firefly/Serenity actually.  Mail me on the other side for details if you like.  :)

Llyren -> RE: Gamer subs! (4/2/2007 7:36:21 PM)

Oooooo!  Munchkin!  I loooove Munchkin!  Especially all the propoganda and verbal warfare trying to get the other players to attack someone other than me!  This is also one of the best parts of playing the card game 'Naval War'.  And remember, you must face the gazebo alone.

Najakcharmer -> RE: Gamer subs! (4/2/2007 8:14:09 PM)

I have slain the dread gazebo!  Also fired magic missles into the darkness.  I don't eat the Cheetoes or drink the Mountain Dew however.

Mustardseed -> RE: Gamer subs! (4/2/2007 8:31:15 PM)

For anybody wondering what the hell the gazebo thing is about, please feel free to look up The Tale of Eric and the Dread Gazebo. [:D]

And be careful: gazebo bites can be nasty!

I wanna play! Munchkin is so much fun!

Bestopheles -> RE: Gamer subs! (4/2/2007 8:41:24 PM)

Ok, this thread has inspired me to stop lurking and make my very first post here. Major props to OP, great thread!

I'm a dom...that said, none of my subs have ever given me special treatment in game besides being allies (or following my lead when it makes sense for them to do so)...and that's how I like it. When I'm gaming, that's the priority...I'd get annoyed the story/game play was made worse by play in a game.

That said, it's been a long time since I've played with a gamer sub, and I soooooo miss it! :(

AquaticSub -> RE: Gamer subs! (4/3/2007 7:48:53 PM)

Yay! I inspired someone! [:)]

Valyraen -> RE: Gamer subs! (4/4/2007 2:42:09 AM)

Hon, you inspire me all the ti- oh, wait... you meant inspire someone to do something constructive... okay!

beltainefaerie -> RE: Gamer subs! (4/4/2007 4:22:19 AM)

Ooh, Munchkin!  I love Munchkin, too!

KuffedKitten -> RE: Gamer subs! (4/4/2007 9:52:15 AM)

I have to admit this topic caught me off guard as I often feel the minority..not only a gamer , but a female sub gamer at that..this definitely gives this one hope. As for my personal experience , I have been playing video games since around 4 years old with the Atari 2600..since then I have been hooked. I have practically owned every system at one point or another in my life and over the last 6 years MMORPGS have become my game of choice. I started with Everquest in 2001  and played until 2005 when World Of Warcraft took over..been there ever since. I have done some tabletop as well in my life and many friends still do it every weekend. And yes I do love Munchkin myself..the banter cannot be beat at the table.

As for the topic at hand..I don't see why I would refuse my Dom/Master anything He wishes...but this is just me. Regardless of who "owns" the characters or game..I am more than willing and actually would need to give all I could to feel as if I was doing everything I could to please and serve Him. I have not had the opportunity or the case arise..yet..but I hope that changes someday.

Now watch as kuffed gets trolls from "Masters" with WoW and EQ accounts, wanting to kill steal and gank all her stuff.  LOL

Heh.  I'm headed for Frolicon this weekend, where all the gamer geek pervs will be hanging out.  Wheee!  Toy bag and dice bag in hand, LARP costuming packed.

Zomg! That sounds very cool..I had no idea such things existed. I'll have to do a google search for Frolicon now. :)
