We are all going to a special level of hell made just for nerds with cute glasses and a lvl 70.

The Sheepy:  we played Shadowmoor in Kings Mtn,SC and then one game in GA at Clanthia.  I was wrong about my master's level of swordmanship. oops! it was up to seven silver. I'm glad that someone knows about it.  We really miss larping.  Everything around here fizzled out.

if you're going back to muds you should play shattered world www.shattered.org we need more players heh

i don't know if there are any MUDs that are really flourishing in the age of graphical MMPORGs [:o] i used to play compulsively in college, and ended up being promoted to immortal (153), but i haven't even logged on in months.

Ahh, the good ol' days...

So how's the Serenity RPG? It caught my interest, since i loved Firefly, and one of my favorite artists did some of the illustrations for it, but i don't have anyone to play with to justify buying it.

My Master and I role play often, the table-top kind.  Sometimes I am submissive to him in gaming, often our characters become involved sexually.  Probably a way to diffuse some tension as we don't have sex in real life. I often help him execute plots and whatnot.  I'm not sure the GM would allow me to give Him my XP or anything even if He wished it, but we do always have a great time playing off one another.  Sometimes my Domme side emerges and we can play with another character or NPC together, which is fun. In a recent campaign we are playing evil characters (I am a priestess of chaos bent on bringing about the apocolypse and he is a sadistic mage really only out for himself).  We kidnapped and tortured a good, innocent priestess together for information and the entertainment value.  Much fun was had by all.  His wife, my sisterslave, is virtually never submissive to him in game, but often sexual with him and with me as well.

Well, I'm dom myself, but my submissive was a gamer, like me, and into the same Roleplaying game, as me. As such, my characters tended to enslave her characters, either by force, or by charming them into it. After such, my character would take care of her, supply her with everything she needed, but she would do anything and everything my character told her to, from gathering cotton and ore so that I could use them to craft items, to assassinating someone who was a political liability to me.

*grins* The table-top characters Valyraen and I are playing now are really kick-ass vampire.... and his great-great-great-great-great-great granddaughter from his mortal days. Who is now a really badass vampire hunter... but it would be kinda creepy if they got it on. [:D]

geekyboy -> RE: Gamer subs! (3/23/2007 8:49:34 AM)

I play this, that, or another thing whenever I have the deisre/time.

WhiplashSmile -> RE: Gamer subs! (3/23/2007 9:19:46 AM)

Here's my take on it!

People play games to get away from the real world, and enter a fantasy game land. The real world rules don't apply anymore.  Anything and everything is fair to win the game.  So hit the "Deathmatch" mode lighten up and have some fun, after all is this not what gaming is all about.  Killing, Blowing up shit and racking up the score.  I just hope your Master can take it like a man when you dish it out.  ha ha ha

xethnkitten -> RE: Gamer subs! (3/23/2007 1:00:29 PM)

This is Xeth, kitten's Master.  We share the account...

Now, to the question of the Serenity RPG.  It's a blast in smaller groups.  The game I was running had so much interest that we ended up with too many people and too little time to focus on them all.  The mechanics are fairly well balanced, as well as fairly flexible.  One of my favorite parts is that the ship design is handled like creating a character as well.  The game is scalable, so you can play greenhorns to legends.

I've been into table-top RPGs for 15 years or so...playtested a few games in college...ran a LARP, played in a few, including SOLAR.  All around, it was a creative outlet for me, similar to my kitten's outlet in acting.

I'm glad she's finding plenty of fun people to chat with here!

I play MUSH (Multi-User Shared Hallucination). Yes, they still exist. Specificly I play (old) World of Darkness (White Wolf Publishing).
I always try to interest my subs in the games because it is entirely text based, so they need to think of how to get their point across. Painting a picture with words is not the easiest of skills. Plus, you meet people from around the world. It's a mild escapism, true, but it opens many doors for friendship.

There is a Serenity game?!?!  *love* Firefly & Serenity, so the fact that there is a game is amazing to me.

Xeth- You were an ST? I'm sorry! That is player responsibility on crack, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. My Dom had to deal with both in character issues and drug use at game by players issues at the last game, and it has Him really stressed. I can't imagine it is much fun for anyone.

Xeth & kitten- If you're ever in the Gulf area, feel free to send me a message, as He can get you connected to someone in a game if Y/y'all were interested. W/we have friends from games all over the south.

orfunboi -> RE: Gamer subs! (3/24/2007 3:34:36 AM)

If i had a S/O and they were also into WOW, i am sure i would share my loot with her. Although as someone else pointed out, it's a game and not real life and i would not feel obligated to do it. i often go to dungeons with my kids and if they want something i find, i have no problem sharing. i do have one character (blood elf warlock) who i refer to as my slave, because i have her out picking herbs and skinning for my 2 hunters. i would go into more detail, but my blood elf hunter is waiting for me to get back and finish her quests. If your on WOW and looking for a quiet realm, check out The Scryers...its new and not as crowded as a lot of them.

xethnkitten -> RE: Gamer subs! (3/24/2007 6:32:42 PM)

<Xeth>  Yep,  I have been roped into being an ST on quite a few things.  It's to the point now that I refuse to run a game until I can get to play in one.  I'm drooling over the new Mage game from White Wolf (2nd edition Mage the Ascension was what got me hooked on White Wolf).  The Serenity RPG I ran only met once a month and had ten players, some of us with toddlers trying to get attention.  Bad mix for a focused game.  I like collecting table-top RPGs and I'm currently developing a semi-universal RPG around the theme of balance.  Got hooked on development when I playtested White Wolf's Wraith the Great War, Hunters and Aberrant....LOVE all three, for obvious reasons.

TheSheepy, if we are ever in that area, we'll let you know.

Thank goodness.

I was on the verge of asking plaintively "Doesn't anyone do table top roleplaying anymore??"

Valyraen -> RE: Gamer subs! (3/30/2007 3:51:14 AM)

Like Aqua said, we've got a tabletop game running that I've been STing since my senior year of college (over a full year ago, now). It makes for an interesting player dynamic, since all of the other players are friends of ours who know about our lifestyle, and we occasionally get some jokes, but mostly everyone's just there to have a good time.

As a side note, I've been thinking of starting up a new (highly modded) campaign of Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn and running through that with Aqua. Unfortunately, I don't have the time right now to devote my energy to creating a custom class for her to use, so that project's still on the back burner. Been funneling all of my creative energies into the V:tM game (the table-top referred to earlier) and learning the coding for modifying TES IV: Oblivion.

I LOVE this thread.  My husband who is a gamer geek, and enjoys the occasional Ren Faire, was not into BDSM when we met.  I was into BDSM and had an interest in RPG and Ren Faires, but never really got into them.  He quickly made an observation the first time I took him to a public play space.  He said:  "I bet 2/3 of these people are Gen Con and Ren Faire geeks, too".  He suggested the clothes alone carry from one venue to the next.  He's right.  I wear my corests in the dungeon and to Bristol.

I have since played many an RPG and now play FFXI as well and am as gamer geeky as he was when we met...now if only I can make him as BDSM geeky as I....he's working on it!

Geeks of all kinds are HOT

I use to be a Shadowbane junkie , especially after it became completely free( even the software is free now i think). I would play every chance i got. Something about killing  an entire group of other players by yourself that just makes everything better. I never met anyone in game that openly admitted being in BDSM. Nonetheless it was a fun game.  It had a true pvp enviroment . Just about anywhere off newbie island was open pvp.

pinkkeith -> RE: Gamer subs! (3/30/2007 11:07:02 AM)

Gaming and kinkiness seem to hand in hand! I do meet a lot of people into BDSM while playing online games. Another thing kinksters seem to be into are sci-fi movies and tv shows. I went to a discussion about pleasing a woman and one person suggested a glued on Klingon tongue as a sex toy. There was one other couple that admited they do that too!
