I had intended to not contribute to this particular thread, because in My view the thread acquires different "tonality" in context. However, some things require a little thematic expansion, so I've decided to add a little comment or two:
I note with interest that you've been questioned in relation to your prior situation. The simplest answer is the plain truth : as is well known by those who know either you or I well. During the time in question there had been no need to mention the fact of contact between two who were at that point friends. That fact had already been thoroughly known in the relevant quarters. Curious how quickly those same quarters conveniently forget facts, isn't it?
Secondly, The "one" is in My case, several, each of whom is treasured for who she is, and the gifts she brings into the relationship she shares with her ^sisters^ and I. Again, no "secret" there, as any close to Me or Oour ^Family^ know well.
In as much as whether poly or mono each contributes to the Relationship, it is equally true to say that each must be and feel secure within that relationship. Absent that, and tragedy is sure to ensue, regardless the good will and good intent of the parties involved : such is human nature, at its' rawest. While I make no claims as to expertise in the field, I have observed the foregoing to be so.
That others have achieved success that suits their needs is statistically probable at minimum, and I sincerely wish them well. For those who yet search, I sincerely wish success attend them in their hour of readiness for it. Plain fact is that each individual will eventually meet an acceptable "match" in another, and "perfect" is neither necessary nor truly desirable, as eventually the nature of perfection itself either stifles development of the individuals or the relationship they share.
What I can say is that in the case of My ^Family^ I've been fortunate to meet at the right times those who were willing to move forward and build with Me, knowing the goals to be mutual and achievable.
That this is so is a continuing source of quiet joy to Oour ^Family^.
