Look at it from a different perspective, it was far far safer for you to be fucked by a long barrelled .44, than it would have been with a knife!

This is rather debateable.  The irregularity of the muzzle end of a gun  create some wonderful opportunities to tear and injure the vagina and/or the cervix.

Actually, thats not true. Knives were original designed and created the the sole purpose of injuring or killing. When they are used as they are designed, that is what they will accomplish.

This is inaccurate.  Knives are perhaps the earliest tools devised by our Stone Age predecessors.  Unlike projectile weapons, they are a general-purpose tool used to facilitate a variety of tasks.  Taking a life is actually a secondary function of the knife, when considered across the breadth of its evolutionary history.

i would never advise anyone to use a real gun for this. i was always taught to treat every gun as iff it were loaded, and never point a loaded gun at something i didn't intend to shoot. The best i can recomend is using a detailed, non functioning model of a gun. But even that would worry me. Too many possible problems. Of course, this is all just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth.

its like anything else: from licking light sockets to fucking tigers, if you are willing to pay the price for making a mistake, then go for it, just do us all a favor and save the state the price of a trial and plead guilty to the manslaughter charge.

This is a straw man argument.  No one here has presumed to criticize anyone for finding eroticism in gun play.

Except you.

You have the right to say what you like within the guidelines of the TOS, but own, or at least explain what you say/meant.

June thinks it sounds hot which suggests she finds it erotic. For her finding it erotic, she's in competition for the Darwin Awards? If that wasn't meant to criticize what was the purpose of writing it in the first place? I mean, is it okay with you that she finds the idea hot or not?

I think that anyone who bothered to read this whole thread must be "risk aware" enough by now, and that's really all this community should be concerned about.

I still think it's bloody stupid (and maybe hot...certainly scary), but I doubt anyone is going to reconsider.  Maybe saying that I think it is bloody stupid will make those who are going to do it respect it enough to be careful.

Simple.  Yes, it "sounds" erotic.  It also sounds reckless--the type of reckless that gets people needlessly dead.

I don't quarrel with the eroticism.  I quarrel with the prospect of a needlessly dead play partner.

Satisfied?

I have played with a "gun" and did not know that it wasn't real. He did not let me see it until we were done with the scene. It was HOT! I do agree that it could've been dangerous if it hadn't been a piece of plastic designed to shoot BB's. It was still a hot scene after I knew that it was plastic and couldn't hurt me. It took a lot of trust to know that he wasn't going to intentionally kill me. He had already taken precautions, unbeknownst to me, to make sure that nothing was going to happen. I see no reason that people cannot engage this fantasy safely.

Errrmmm... do you know what the Darwin Awards are? People put themselves in contention for them....other people can only nominate you posthumously.

Of course and I've never seen, in my entire life, a single person actually 'die' from 'thinking' something is hot. Have you?

celticlord,

Just a couple of notes:

Lets make a list of things that can kill people: guns, knifes, choking, drowning, my bare hands (:D), and lots of other stuff.

Does that mean people who practice knife play, breath control play, water bondage, and, who give out good-ol'fashioned beatings are going to be knocked out by natural selection? Really?

What we do has inherent dangers, and while, I, (as the captain of the safety police, as my girl, june, put it), wouldn't want to try gun play with a loaded weapon of any kind, I can understand why she finds it hot. What better way to exercise your "force" over someone than by playing with a life-threatening instrument? It's part of the reason so many people like breath or knife play -- it feels dangerous. Even when done with a trusted, safe person, the bottom is still at the mercy of that person, just like they would be was the person malicious.

--Jay

P.S. -- She's going to have my kids one day, upon which day, I shall "ha-ha" at you for comparing her to some of the truly idiotic people who get the darwin award.

And?

You consider all these methods equally lethal?  Equally dangerous?  If so, guess again.

If this thread was only about thinking, there wouldn't need to have been a single word said about safety.
