What about euthanasia when Grandma's "Quality of Life" falls to the point where Grandma WANTS TO DIE?

A life is a life? I assume you're a vegan, then? That still leaves the question, "How do you deal with murdering plants to sustain yourself?"

Well the problem with an issue like this is that it does engender a variety of aspects. The consideration should always be careful. However there are times when this thing we talk of is not exactly the same as that which we speak of. The other day I was thinking that wouldn’t it be great for this that or the other. I also then realised I was talking total nonsense but I didn’t mind. I realised that most people aren’t going to agree on issue x for reason y. Therefore we should try to eliminate the x by finding how y is indeed related to x. Don’t you think?

The real problem is that Moral Absolutism ONLY works for the single individual making their OWN judgments.

Once you try to apply any of your absolute positions to any other individual, the preconditions, and validity falls apart.

So, when someone says, "A life is a life", they need to own all aspects of that claim. And while that might work for them, attempting to apply it to anyone else is foolish.

There are always going to be Pro-Choice and Pro-life people arguing this issue. In a perfect world there would be no need for an abortion. This isn't a perfect world there for there is a need for abortion. Whether it is medical, economical, emotional, or just plain alternative form of birth control. Abortion has to be available to anyone who wants one for what ever reason someone wants one.

Medical: If the fetus is endangering the life of the mother to be. Who is to decide that and at what percentage of death is that decision to be made. All pregnancy has the chance of ending in death for the mother. All not some but all. Who has the right to tell a female "You have a 25% chance of dieing so you can't have an abortion. Not me that's for sure and not anyone else that I know of.

Economical: Not everyone can afford to have a child. Asking a female to carry a fetus for 9 months and then put it up for adoption when it is born because she can't afford to have the child is wrong. There are emotional ties that would be severed hurting the mother of the child and the baby later in its life. Mothers would have to have their children when they know they can't feed them or cloth them. Don't say the government would take care of the children because we can all see that the government has already drooped the ball in that court. We already have thousands of kids hungry in this county.

Emotional: Telling a woman that she is going to have to carry the baby of the man that raped her for the next 9 months is mental torture. Lets not forget that if the child found out that they were a rape child what it would do to their psych. There have been cases where the child has been abused for the sin of the father by the mother or family members of the mother. What right do we as a society have to make a female go through that.

Birth Control: Condoms brake, the pill isn't 100% effective, diaphragms rupture, withdraw method doesn't work period. Who has the right to tell someone that has or hasn't taken precautions that they have to have the baby.

Males do have a say in weather a female has the child or not. They decide to have sex with the female. If you don't want her to get pregnant the only way to guarantee that is to abstain. Once a male decides to not abstain they have made their choice. It is then the right of the female to decide on what to do. A male should talk with her and help her but the choice is hers.
