I have my own political view and such as everyone else on this site does. I've been curious though as to why marijuana is considered a deadly drug? Cigs and Alcohol are legal and from my personal experience it seems to me that both are more dangerous. What type of crazy world do I live in when dangerous things are kept legal and semi dangerous things are made illegal. I support the illegalization of all other drugs. I believe that America should be a completely sober country or let the ones that don't cause harsh health affects in the short term contrary to long term ex. lung cancer for cigs and liver failure for alcohol. You can't even OD on marijuana but I had to call the paramedics for my friend that drank to much booze. Imagine how much room would be in jails everywhere.

it isnt concidered a deadly drug, its concidered a "gateway" drug... which is also bullshit. i duno why its illegal. shrugs

to me, it would make more sense to make alcohol illegal and legalize merrywanna.......not many potheads drive and run head on into folks and kill them.....

Most of the pot isn't pure anymore - pcp is added. Each time my friend is tested she came up with pcp in her blood work urine. You never know whats in the shit you are buying on the streets.

sure its not THC coming up in her urine? And dayum, tell her to quit or find another dealer if she truly has horse tranquilizer in her urine. **scared to ask how many times is "every time she is tested"

I honestly dont see why its illegal these days either. As long as your not driving under the influence, its harmless. people dont go out and kill someone while theyre on pot.

I had no idea why marijuana was illegal for a very long time. Then I roomed with some. It makes people stupid. And then they still vote. And, seriously, that's just not cool. I won't allow someone both the right to be stupid and to force that stupidity on us via voting.

Pot is illegal because its too easy to grow and the govt cant tax it, hemp cloths last longer and would put the cotton and wool growers out of buisness, the seeds are higher in protien than soy beans and an acre of pot puts as much oxygen in the air as 4 acres of trees, I dont think its a gate way drug but for some it may be. I dont smoke anymore because I dont want my lil ones to grow up and be users but thats my decision, I have seen far more lives destoryed by drinking so, what people need to do is stick together and demand change instead of talking about the injustice but thats just my opinion -- Rush

I think beer is one of the pleasures in life (a good ale that is, rather than that lager stuff they do in places like Belguim and France). Control is the issue. If someone needs the paramedics to pump his stomach, then he has a control issue, and I'm not interested in having my pleasures taken away on the basis of someone else's lack of control.

those just say no car plaques- a good many cars [remember in teh 80s, it started w baby on board] HAD drugs in the cars as they drove thru Chicagoland and went to see all their friends and burned a tank of gas on teh weekend, ERR nevermind. ^ glunk ^

E Yeah, the social and economic costs related to boozing are in a different league to ciggies and weed. 'Problem is, the booze industry has a lot of power in this country, and they're game enough for seeing as many people boozed right up to the eyeballs as possible. As ever, there's an element of personal responsibility, and an element of spin associated with the product. Like you, I'm no big fan of weed, but I tend to take the scare-mongerers with a pinch of salt....there was a bloke on a radio chat show this morning claiming that today's level of people being admitted for schizophrenia and similar mental illnesses is similar to that of the 70s, and there is no strong evidence to back up the claim that smoking weed = mental instability....this went unchallenged by the tough on everything elements on the programme.
