It's cool to see so many very confident youse guys!

I too have an emergency C-Sec scar that troubles me...it's way low down, horizontal and only is visible when everything is ~cough~ clear cut, but I hate for it to be seen. It also feels really strange to be touched. Seems like whenever someone finds it, he wants to see it, touch it, lick and kiss it...what is that about?

Yes and yes... yes they blow it WAY out of proportion... yes there are no doubt some shallow fuckwits that will react badly to some 'imperfection'... rather than just seeing it as just one aspect of someone they find appealing overall.

Yes it is a factor... but by FAR not one of the important ones for Me!

Not just one...and I wouldn't characterize it as infatuation. Maybe it was simply the awareness that I am uncomfortable about it though. That's a nicer thought than a Freudian mommy fetish dealio, it seems to me.

it adds texture and people enjoy that...plus it is a part of you that is very personal...

My mother has an incredible scar from having her lumpectomy due to breast cancer. She is rather blase about it. I have had differing body issues in life, but by-in-large, I have a great deal of love for myself and my body, and I think this becomes quickly apparent to others. I like others around me to feel at ease with their bodies too. I don't know about the rest of you, but I think seeing enough of that idealized-body, perfectly groomed and entirely uninteresting porn has made me appreciate the human-ness of regular folks. I like our zitty butts and bulges and what makes us unique.

It also works in the opposite way too. As a youngster, I had several surgeries on my right ear - 3 surgeries to remove a tumor that was growing on the bones in my middle ear, and 2 reconstructive surgeries afterwards.

There's a hole in the right side of my ear thats about the size of a nickel (when you compare it to the normal size opening of your ear canal) This has made me a little skittish when in an intimate situation - after all, the ears are a pretty popular erogenous zone.

So, with the surgeries I've had, it's understandable why.

i used to be so skinny (around 90llbs) but since i was sterilised (tubes tied) im atleast 140llbs & as happy as a pig in muck about it, i kinda hate my third nipple though, but thats fading too as gravity is really taking hold now & saggy boobs hide that lil thing

i reckon there are too many perfect women in the world - im real & although not perfect i will always be 'me'

as I've gotten older, I've begun to get squishy around the middle. I find that I am sometimes very uncomfortable about it, and other times I couldn't give a fig...
It doesnt seem to bother Riff, sooo.... lol

of course, if I cut beer from my diet, and maybe not quite so much pasta... *grin*

Heck, I've had so many abdominal surgeries, I think they should have just installed a zipper just in case they need to get in there again. Sometimes it bothers me that I can't wear low rise jeans and a belly shirt because it just looks weird and I am very proud of my appearance. As far as being naked with a partner, no thought is given about appearances at that point, because hopefully, it's what's in their mind that I'm attracted to, as opposed to any physical features that they may possess.

I've found that guys don't exactly react badly... they just are clueless and point stuff out- without realizing the effect it has on their partner.

Guys, if your partner happens to have a scar, or some mark, don't go and poke at it and ask what it is. Chances are, she'll get pissed off, or hurt about it.

I dont think that I have ever been in a situation where it has been a dealbreaker persay. I have been with some Doms that were not that attractive in their nakedness but that is not what made me like them. It was their personality.
Though I only met with most of them one or two times it was not there body that made me not want to persue anything but that the feelings were not there.
I hate to be judged by my looks so I try my best not to do that to anyone.

I think that more women then men dislike their bodys due to all that we see around us...magazines and commercials and all of the new fad diets. Its hard to get away from them. In all actuallity you cannot love someone if you cannot love yourself because you will never be able to give yourself fully to that person and that is not fair to either of you.
That being said there are those guys out there that are all about looks. They are the shallow ones that might just pass up the perfect person for them due to this and that is their loss and no one elses. It is very sad to go throught life with blinders on.
I am not the smallest person in the world but I am slowing starting to enjoy me as I am an not as others see me.

All just a personal opinion though.

I remember when Sir and I met, it was shortly after the 3rd of 4 ankle surgeries. They took bone from my hip and I had the worst-looking scar. It looked like an UM drew on me with a knife laced with purple ink. I was also self conscious about a scar on my calf where they took some muscle and the multiple scars on my foot. I wouldn't take my shoes off and I was terrified of my swimsuit riding up because he'd see the scar and run away screaming (or so I thought). At the time I was a size 8, the smallest I've ever been. Sir fixed me, though. He got tired of the insecurity one day and took his shirt off. He had 3rd degree burns over half his back and about a quarter of his chest. He looked me in the eye and said, "Do you really think YOUR scars could scare me off?" It was the last day I had issues with my scars.

I'm not a small girl by any means now. I'm 254 pounds. I'll get naked much faster and have no issues with it. When I was 145 pounds I was certain I was a whale and couldn't look myself in the mirror.

I agree with celticlord...by the time I'm to the point to see that imperfection (unless it's in the middle of their forehead), I might notice, but it's not going to stop me.
