Forum Changes - 10/12/2005 7:08:25 PM

Status: offline 		Of necessity, we have needed to make the following changes to the forum at this time:

1. The art and photography forum has been removed for an indefinite amount of time.
2. The creative writing forum has been removed but may be restored if we are able to establish extensive moderation for all posts prior to being made visible on the forum.
3. Beyond those that are already being removed, additional avatars and attachments may be removed if found to be outside the bounds of what we are currently able to host on our servers.

Status: offline 		Did you offer copies to the original authors? I know I have my work saved in other places, but some people might not have and would enjoy having access to their own stories.

Only if they are willing to move too. At least one of the raided companies had done just that but the authorities felt they could act because the company's principles were resident in the US

I am sorry if this is going to offend anyone, but does this not seem alot like the beginnings of Fascism? Is the State now to decide for us all what is and what is not wholesome viewing material? By whose standards will things be decided?

This will certainly lead to book-burnings, witch hunts, and basic moral McCarthyism if allowed to happen.

Yes, and collarme, like all Americans are being held with the swift sword of justice at its throat as a terroistic threat of Big Brother.
