Greetings Master,Mistress and fellow slaves.....

Through out my postings with people on here and my r/t experiences people get angry that Master allows me opinions...yes Master always has the final say but my opinions are always kept in mind.Recently on anouther board someone said that i was not a slave for simple fact Master allows me certain freedoms...like a opinion( as long as before i voice it i talk to him about it) and the ability to put my two cents in the outside world conversations as long as done politely and with hard facts. Yet they say a slave is only a little person on her hands and knees all the time....i belive this to be wrong...anyones elses thought would be greatly welcomed.

Well there you go you non-slave living in a non-master non-slave relationship, some dipshit says you are wrong because you are not hip to his or her vision of the world..........piss on 'em.

Perhaps if you started listening to these All-Knowings you wouldn't have to be so fucking happy and have to deal with that shit every day.

I don't identify as a slave, so my ~opinion~

may not be one you're looking for. But as far as my being allowed to have an opinion......I didn't know I couldn't. Having my own ideas doesn't mean that those ideas have to be accepted or agreed with. I'm going to always have thoughts about things, but whether I get my way is a different matter all together.

Is the issue really the fact that you DO have an opinion? Or is it that you're allowed to share that opinion with others?

I'm guessing that this is a result of people who can't separate fantasy from reality.

Fantasy: You're a slave. Ergo, you have no rights.
Reality: In BDSM, you have the same rights as everyone else in the free world, you just choose which rights you will give up to your Master.

Fantasy: All slaves should act the same.
Reality: Every BDSM relationship is unique.

Fantasy: Since you identify yourself as a slave, "Dominants" with delusions of granduer are free to force their stupidity on you.
Reality: You're a slave, but not their slave.

Fantasy: Being a slave means you should conform to the historical and fantasy perceptions of sexual servitude.
Reality: Slavery in the traditional sense has been banned in most of the free world for very good reasons.

Blessed be to you as well. Perhaps you might tell them that a guiding principle in your life is to 'do no harm'. Not that they will get it, but probably think you are a doctor, and stand in awe of you for that reason.

:) Yes it was the fact...i'm allowed a opinion and at times it differs from the Master i serve. lol Crazy crazy people...maybe i need to ask Master if i can write a book about the crazy people who think that i walk around naked in my collar and ankle cuffs...oh wait i do at times so maybe that is a bad idea....but dern why do so many "vanillas" wish to tell me how to live a BDSM/Gorean lifestyle....Gorean yes is from a fictional book but the books have some really good ideas....Master is from the old Guard views...and i guess i am just sooo dern traditional i belive its a womans duty to serve......but hey maybe i need a time machine so i can live like i wanna. Blessed be my friend

Anopheles doesn't have issue with my opinions, even if they differ from his. But that's him.

If people tried to use that as indication that something was wrong with your relationship, all anyone would have to do is look at how you conduct yourself regularly. THAT, IMO, is a true indicator of the type of person you are and how you are expected by SirSix to behave. And if they don't like that.....let 'em know that outsiders aren't allowed to have an opinion in other folks relationships

Oh well. There will always be someone out there who thinks they know better than you do. Such is life!

See this is how i feel...but i've had a few people who love screaming that i'm not a slave and Master isnt a Master and i do it for show since while yes Master does allow my opinions to be spread they are mine and Master understands i am a very vocal person....i mean this is my rant for today......People do not seem to understand Master and i since Master is very open with things with me....and since i am not uneducated..lol i have a minor in English(which if you ever got to meet me in public i normaly speak alot diffrent then on here....alot more proper but on here i'm normaly in a hurry and never proof read lol) and i am also a lpn(or LVN in some states) and am working to get my RN as well as a Masters in psychology.Master feels although i serve i can be treated as a educated person when it concerns His affairs normaly.......But hey this is just my day to rant lol

Hmmm... lets break this down a bit.

A Master is expected to use his slave for his own benefit, whatever that may be.

A slave is supposed to be a benefit to her Master in whatever way he may profit from using her.

Seems to me that if a Master has an educated slave and doesn't choose to benefit from her knowledge and intelligence in addition to her physical charms, he's probably a short-sighted ninny.

If, in having the freedom to express your thoughts and opinions freely, you are serving your Master, then who is to say that you are not submitting to his will? Furthermore, If he profits in some way by your intellect, in what way is that not retaining his mastery over you?

Just a few thoughts...

Hi bella,

In my last relationship, my slave was definitely allowed and actually strongly encouraged to have her own opinions. Not that it took much encouragement, mind you. The decisions were mine to make, but it would have been foolish to ignore her perspectives on the issues we faced. Not only was she allowed opinions, but those opinions often affected how we did things. In my next relationship, I will do things just the same. It's the only way that makes sense to me.

Of course opinions are important, that's how a working relationship survives, by communication. A proper D/s relatioship works just like a marriage, both parties have to give a little to get a little, and listening to each other usually ends up benefiting both!
Surely the Dom has the final decision, but I wish I had a dime for every good idea I have heard from "inferior women" or every time that I was steered away from doing something stupid, dangerous or just plain bad to someone who trusted me.
I tell every new girl who who thinks that they might want to start training after me, that my number one rule is that they TALK to me!
And you know, it's surprising how few do.
The Dom that thinks they know everything and feels that the opinions of who serves them doesn't matter in the slightest, seems like a very dangerous person to be around...either that, or they are God.....Hmmmm, and don't get me started on THAT argument. lol

Your thoughts are all very helpful...i am a very emotional person..as meaning i hate it when people hate me ...i'm one of those who always try to be pleaseing.Master wanted a educated slave...not some crazy woman running around on her knees all the time lol.Thank you all for your thoughts...and please keep them coming...Its nice when people i consider well rounded in this lifestyle give their thoughts because its a good way to learn and valudate your own thoughts or get rid of them :) Blessed be all

One of the things I look for before I'll grant a house slave my personal collar, is for her to not only have opinions but to voice then in an appropriate manner. If a girl is my personal property obne of her duties is to help Neets guard me from me, especially when I'm so tired or what ever and I cant see the wood for the trees. As I've commented before, my personal girl doubles as my PA and is given leave to deal with things if I am unable to handle them personally.

As much as I hate it, my slave has all sorts of opinions and ideas. Even worse some of them are better than mine. That really chaps my ass. she has some work to do on presentation but other than that I see no reason to not use a resource.

In my M/s relationships, owning my girl is owning *ALL* she is. Having an obedient sex slave who is also an intelligent and mature adult AND a female friend/companion all rolled into one is virtually "having it all" as far as I'm concerned. When I do ask her for an opinion, I really don't wanna hear: "Whatever you want/choose, Master"....

Frankly, I'd get bored with a slave who virtually only kneeled and awaited commands etc - my pc practically does that...! Your own M/s relationship is nobody's business but your own and if your Master values your opinion and you're equally comfortable giving it, you have the makings of an M/s realtionship I'd envy.

Yes you can have your opinion and in fact you will probaby always have an opinion. Actually, it is impossible to forbid someone to have an opinion as mind reading isn't a common ability in mankind. The (german) song "die gedanken sind frei" quite poetically expresses that.

Of course there can be many restrictions on voicing your opinion. Not only your Master can have say in that, law enforcement officers can, and for instance the forum moderators and administrators. But basically, those are all people that have some authority over you. The kind of authority another Master does not have.
Actually, a Master questioning you and your Master because he allows you something is treading in your relationship without being asked to. I think that is very improper and rude behaviour on his part and I would not want to associate with any such "Master" (the one exception I can think of is in the context of a level-2 party atmosphere where all slaves are expected to follow party-rules and Dominants are expected to make their slaves follow them).

But then again, even such a "Master" is allowed to have his opinions, right?

I get this from people all the time also. I have a dominant sadistic streak that's noticeable from a distance (Master says) *chucklez*
I have opinions....i have suggestions/ideas how to make something work, or work better...and i often voice them all at once. <grinz>

When people open their big mouths and say: You can't possibly be a slave...here is what Thorns says:

I'm thinkin'..........everything/everyone else is irrelivant *beamz proudly*
Of course we have our own opinions Bella, as well as alot of other things...what defines each relationship is not what another would. That's what is great about yours..........that is what is great about mine. They are not necessarily the same. You are slave to your Master.........what else matters? <soft smile>
