I'm 2 of 2 with a dominant personality and Master role. My mom is 3rd of 8...if she could have been in her natural state, I think she'd be a submissive...but circumstances forced her to be dominant...and bitter. Her sister, 4th of 8, I feel is a submissive (or at least a bottom). Her brother, 2nd of 8, I feel is Dominant or at least dominant personality. Her brother, 7th of 8, is Dominant (or at least a Top). The others, I can't really tell. (Heh, I feel like I'm talking about borg!). Mom swears I get my kink from my Dad. chuckle I think my Dad and all his brothers and sisters (6 of them) are of submissive personality...or at least passive aggressive enough to make it seem such (not uncommon in an abusive family). My girl is an only child. she is a slave with a Dominant personality. slave jason is 1st of 2 and is a slave with a dominant personality. Master Fire

Oldest of 2. In my personal life I am submissive though fairly dominant in other areas .

~FR~ I answered for me already but... My father is the 2nd of 7 and very Dominant while my mother is 9th of 10 and very submissive, though they aren't kinky as far as I know. (Friends of mine have told me that my parents are kinky because they only slowed down to having sex once a night instead of up to 7 since they reached their 70's.) My offspring are kinky. The youngest is definitely dominant. The oldest usually is outside of her intimate relationships but I don't know what she's like in her current one. It's none of my business and not something she would be willing to discuss with me. Thank God!!!

As the first born in a family of two children, and as a very high academic achiever, I laid a tough path for myself. It's quite obvious I needed some slack, but as I was a star everybody expected success from, I couldn't really get it (especially as my parents were very young, very high achieving students themselves). Never having gotten any kind of rest in my childhood and/or adolescence, it must be why I turned to sexual submission. Where are you, SIGMUND?

Only child here, positively Switch, 100% into the role i'm playing at the time :) i agree, this is right up there with sun signs and P.T Barnum's famous quote ..... "There's a sucker born every minute". Everytime i see one of these kinds of books, i wonder what grade they got for it in Grad school. My feeling on why we are the way we are is that it is a combination of genetics, nature/nuture and chaos theory. Pretty much a role of the dice at any given time. sm

i am the youngest of 3 and submissive in relationships but as the single mother of 2 boys i am quite dominant with them and in the outside world. SIR is the middle child of 3

i was 3rd of 4. i do not think that birth order has anything to do with submissivness on dominant. i believe that there is a time of discovery that has to happen before one knows. i didn't know till i accepted my gayness, was kicked out of a straight marrage and had my first lover relationship. It was this lalast piece that told me what i was and what i needed. i have been with my 2nd lover/Master now 4 10 years and loving it. Even this took time to develope (about 5 or 6 years) to become Master/slave and still be equals when the occasion demands it.

I'm pretty sure I'm a middle child. I have two older full blooded siblings plus a half sister from my mom's previous marriage and a cousin that rumor says is in reality my half sister on my biological dads side and I have two younger full blooded siblings, one living, one died as an infant and a younger half sister (or so I've been told) also from my biological dad. I'm dominant and all that proves is that my family tree is a freakin' forrest. *Jewel*

youngest of 6 collectivly, I'm bitchy, controling, competitive, an anal perfectionist in some things and yet compleatly submissive..... but only to Him! Though he falls right in the middle 2 older brothers 2 younger sisters he wasnt raised with his older siblings and he is very Dominiate

Youngest of two with 4 1/2 years between us and submissive. I think mine comes alot more from how I was raised as well as the traits of my brother. My brother was the only child as well as the first grandchild, first nephew, etc. He was spoiled rotten and waited on hand and foot. By the time I came along, he wanted nothing to do with me. He is totally dominating to a negative affect. I'm stubborn and strong willed, but when it comes to the men I've been with I naturally submit. Don't know if it's the birth order or more memories and expected behavior from my upbringing. My grandmother used to come over, pick through all of our laundry, and wash only my dad's and my brother's. Even though my mother worked full time, I was in school with a full time job, my dad worked at home and my brother only went to college part time. Her logic was the men needed to be waited on and us women could do it ourselves. lol So even though I'm younger, I tend to think it had more to do with things like that than the fact I was the second born.
