ORIGINAL: YourhandMyAss There are very very long waiting lines for special housing, low income housing or hud housing, and you have to qualify first and being on SSI or government assistance, isn't always a qualifier I do not believe. And, there's very limited low income or HUD housing availible, you could be on lists for years. And some of the places that accept low income vouchers and stuff are in VERY crappy parts of town. Places any sane person would be afraid to be home alone at night in. I have a friend in LA, who's homeless, and she's been waiting for SSI for 3 almost 4 years now, and they keep denying her claim and making her go back to court. She also hasn't been able to find very many places that will take her section 8 vouchers, The one place she was hoping for, gave the apartment to someone else, And you only have so long to find a place, or you loose your section 8 and start all over again. quote:
ORIGINAL: lusciouslips19 You should go on goverment assitance. I am not sure what it is in Canada but I am sure Canada has it. I am sure they will asist you in job training too. I the U.S people also can apply for special housing if on assistance. The OP lives in Canada.
