Actually, yes. I have a sewing machine. Got it when I was student and kept having to buy jeans from second-hand shops that were too big for me.

So what I'm mostly getting out of the responses is that, for a number of Dominant Women, spending three hours doing housework is preferable to spending a couple of minutes interacting with a submissive. This place is sooooo depressing

Paying a maid is preferable followed by doing it yourself. The idea of having it done badly and take more energy than cleaning it would have taken and still be a huge chore. ick.

It's not the couple of minutes interacting with the sub that I think would be the issue. It's more the fact that I like play to be fun, after all of the other things are in order.

I agree with this interpretation. But I expect it is humiliating as bowing to kiss feet might be--it is humiliating if ordered outside of a BDSM context but within a BDSM context it becomes an expression of dominance and submission and pushes one into submissive mindspace.

I think the matter then becomes a compatibility issue. Some people enjoy service for its D/s aspects whereas some people enjoy service for its expression of regard. For some people, the D/s aspect is key and each the dominant and the submissive would want to recognize the D/s aspect of service.

I have heard this point mentioned multiple times over the course of time but do not grasp it. This point suggests as if the submissive does not have demands on time. When the two play, is the submissive also not committing an equal amount of time to play? If the play is only for the sake of the submissive, fair enough that the submissive should reciprocate the gesture in one way or another. However, if the play is for sake of both then why does this point apply?
