In just searching briefly I found that Saudi Arabia law mandates that all citizens be Muslim. Non citizens are officially allowed to practice in private but something called the muttawwa (sic) make even that dangerous.  I found that Muslims under pain of death must believe that their religion is meant to become the religion of the entire world.

All in all I think my chances of being an atheist in a Muslim controlled world are very precarious.

Precarious?  nah...

Do they allow BDSM and the like in hell?  As I read the penalty list most sexual deviations require "off with my head."  Since I would be a pervert in hell, what is the additional punishment?  Extra heat?

In any case, I do not believe in a hereafter.  I guess my concern in a Muslim controlled world is whether I would be smitten immediately upon saying that I was an atheist?  Right now I enjoy tormenting Christians about my beliefs but I do not think Muslims share that tolerance.

We just had a discussion about 'the protocols' and now we are having this posted as factual?
EEk.

I did hold off posting on this thread until I had studied it thoroughly so I could without a shadow of a doubt state that it is scaremongering.

The 'facts and statisitics' have either been purposefully posted wrongly, or they had a typo when making the film.  Doesn't take a genius to look them up.  There is also a conflict of what are independantly reported stats and what isn't stats, but guesswork based on being frightened.
They also left out facts like fertility rates in muslim countries falling.

So, to answer Firms question - my reasoning is that they don't actually present any hard facts and it's pretty much made up for dramatic effect.  I am appalled that people use this kind of propaganda to in anyway promote procreation, christian or not.

There is a saying, "the sun will rise from the west."  The majority of Muslims, especially in the west, are much more tolerant and have a "to each his own" attitude than, say, evangelical Christians.  (Look at all these Christian "missionaries"....  in Islam, it doesn't exist.)  But the Saudi concept of Islam???  Yeah, i totally agree; you'd pretty much be fucked, and i would be, too!  :P

I predict a sharp rise in cross-dressing under the new Muslim regime.  Almost anyone can look good in a burkha, after all.

I don't like ANY "religion".
I think ALL of them should be outlawed. There have been more wars caused by "religion" than by any other thing.
And I don't "respect" any of them.

The wars have been done in the name of religion, but the reason they have been waged is power.

We should all be scared of those dangerous Taoist and Buddhist. Scawy people.

I'm afraid you aren't very well informed.  It does exist, and is known as da'wah.

"East is East and West is West."
And the Western countries should end all this "immigration" from other countries.
We don't "need" it anymore and haven't for a long time. We're fully settled.
And if it's such a "good" thing why isn't China, India or Japan engaging in it?

What?  East isn't East and West isn't West?

The US isn't established?

The US needs immigration for survival?

You may not agree with the gist what Popeye has said, but exactly where is he "wrong"?

East and West have been intermingling for times immemorial. Therefore, his rather final statement "East is East and West is West", which seems to imply that civilisations should, somehow, not entertwine, is a meaningless and populistic statement that demonstrates that Popeye has been at Lou Dobbs again, against his doctor's orders.

Western countries' economies would collapse without immigrant workers.  He said nothing of the United States in particular, and instead said "We don't need it it anymore", simply because he personally dislikes it. Ironic, considering where he comes from. And how predictable that you should imply that "we", as in "Western countries", means the States  .

And finally, the cherry on the cake: Japan, China and India all have immigrant workers in varying degrees (I suspect that Japan more than the other two). Without them, their economies probably wouldn't fare too well either.

That good enough for ya' ? If not, I suggest you ask Popeye: he's unbelievably well versed on the subject.

Which day is the visit planned? I'd like to pencil it in tentatively (in case nothing better comes along).

Considering that I have seen contradictory facts about birth rates, regarding various races and religions, I would have to say that the "fertility rates" quoted are most likely to be inaccurate.

Since Christianity is still the fastest growing religion on the planet, I fail to see the concern, unless of course you really wish to be scared by the "US vs. THEM" message of the video.

Personally I believe that the world our children and grandchildren will inherit will still be recovering from some pandemic caused by some poor slob who went on one of the great all natural vacations in some part of the planet and picked up a bug that makes ebola look like the common cold.
