I did, and I still agree with Aileen. That you see submissives as nothing but doormats could have a lot to do with why you haven't found someone. Note the use of the word "could"

I think that the whole "doormat" thing is just a ruse. Nobody (or at least nobody HEALTHY) would be into that for real. I mean as a fantasy, sure, but reality? No way.

...seriously, I think people (male or female) do that to test the dominant...to create a little drama. I have no issue w/ alpha personalities, but I do take issue w/ those creating drama. I don't waste my time, b/c after all, the sub/slave has sought me out and I can in turn reject them for such behavior...and it has happened just like that, much to the sub's/slave's dismay.

My personal opinion is that the profiles that say they want the extreme type of fantasies as a basis for their relationship are either...
men pretending to be women or women who haven't had the ability to maintain long term relationships.
Most successful long term bdsm relationships are grounded in reality.
