Even from waxing. For me a landing strip must be kept, because especially in that area, the Himalayas will rise. Very very sensitive skin. No amount of exfoliating will help. I began shaving it rather recently and my husband and I both discovered that we prefer it that way. But there are plenty of men who like hair. It's such an individual preference.

But if one shaves, soaking in a hot tub first will help a great deal. Using shaving balms made for reducing bumps helps as well (Aveeno has a great one - available in Canada, not sure about the US) Also, a loofa aftewards helps wonders to loosen up the hairs that tend to curl up and get back under the skin.

Waxing leaves much less bumps and one must be very careful with waxing in that area. Always have it done by a professional. Still might make you scream though! ;-)
