I personally have nothing against them.

I'd vote for an Atheist before I'd vote for a Democrat.

For the most part the atheists I've known have had better morals and ethics than the religious people I've known.

Atheists don't need imagination therefore they don't seem to have much.

Other than that they are jolly nice people.

(Did God ultimately create the I-Phone? I don't know I've never considered this question. Through observation all we can tell is that the I-Phone exists.)

They do, however, know the difference between logic and idiocy.

And seem to somehow manage creativity:

Then you should talk to the Hindus, who seem to be far more imaginative about this than you.

Filled with Brahman are all things that are; filled with Brahman are all things that are not.

Even your calculator. Which, by the way, will get the answer "infinity," an apt response.

I think of atheists.

Therefore they are.

I don't think much of the endless threads on it, true.

Nice try, Jeffff.  I know that your anti-God post is just itching to meet up with a God post, and then the world will end, like when matter meets antimatter.

I am NOT taking your bait!

Back on topic: I tend to think of atheists as normal people.  Except that none of them believe in God.

Also, a Scrabble note: If you take the word "heist" and add a T to the front, it makes Theist.  Add an A to that, and you get Atheist. Let me know if this helps you in a Scrabble game sometime.

The atheists claim to know some things the do not. Otherwise, everybody can believe they wish and this includes the atheists.

Well, I for one am glad you changed it. Carmel sticks to my teeth

OP: I don't think any differently of atheist, than I do anyone else. There is good and bad to be found in any group. I did kind of wonder about the list when I read this entry....Daniel Day-Lewis (1957–): Bristish actor. When asked by poet Eileen Myles in an Index Magazine interview whether he believed in God, he answered with "I'm still not sure. I suppose I'm a die-hard agnostic. I don't know."

I was always under the impression that being agnostic was different that being an atheist, so why did he land on this list?

He's a 'problem play'; nobody can decide if he's a tragedy or a comedy.
