This is for all you women out there. What kind of symptoms do you suffer from during pms? How does it affect your relationship with your Dom/Domme or sub/slave?

Personally i have been told i resemble Linda Blair in the Exorcist split pea soup and all. I am cranky, ok i'm normally the most submissive slave in the world to my owners, but during this time of the month i know ripping heads off is a possibility with me.

I've also been told that the only suitable sex partner for me during pms would be a Klingon or possibly one of the greater demons. Yes it is that ugly.

I stay physically hot and sweaty,sleep like the dead almost constantly, have a serious aversion to all food, meat, even the smell of meat makes me violently ill, the usual headache and backache, and as to horny; well let's just say the demon would be afraid and plead to be allowed to return to hell rather than suffer definite damage at my hands.

My owners after witnessing this 360 degree personality change the 1st time, eat vegetarian or eat out, are very quiet and warn their grown children away. Occasionally they leave chocolate out hoping it works.

Medically i've been told i just have exceptionally high hormones.

Before all you Doms out there start chiming in "i'd just tie you up" remember my Master is a strong physically fit man and he has my Mistress to help and neither of them want to attempt it and they know i adore them. You have to catch me and keep me still first.

This is not asking for help in this situation. We know what to do, let me sleep, no cooking, meat especially, and it will be over in a few days. Just curious about others issues with it.

They know my symptoms, they know my cycle, but none of us allow it to excuse any wrong doing- in attitude or behavior. I try to do a lot of focused breathing around the days before my period.

LOL actually avoiding chocolate and drinking lots of water are the best things for me to mediate my PMS symptoms.

I think that's exactly the way to do it- know what you're dealing with and then just deal with it.

Wow you get it bad!

I get really weepy and wildly emotional, I get a sudden rage that frightens me and leaves me shaking.

I don't avoid scening during those times, but I find it's a different kind of emotional ride. Oddly, I find it harder to hit subspace then, too.

You should go see a naturapath twicehappy...it could really help.

PMS symptoms for me: I get needy for cuddles and am more likely to cry.

I get extremely bitchy.
And I friggin gain about five pounds in water weight.

I have endometriosis, which causes the endometrial lining (the part that sheds when menstruating) to migrate to other parts of my body and bleed there. I have one on my sciatic nerve, which creates extremely painful periods that hurt not just in my groin, but my hips and legs as well. Loki knows this and always gives me the time I need to deal with it (usually a day or two each month). But, he also is quite adept at surprising me with chocolate, which always helps to ensure no one has to die!

mmm i too, after ovulation have tender brests from HELL. they get so swollen i dont even like em touched. i ovulate 2 wks before my perioud starts, and my pms usually kicks in a few days after that. i am not bitchy per say, but yes, fresh. i am brought to tears easily and am very very sensitive to touch of any kind. i drink cocolate milk like mad during this time. YUMMMMM [my only craving lol]. bloated, yuk is my most hated symptom.

i am unsatisfiable in bed during this time. i found that being on birth control has harnessed some of my moodiness, and just about all of my cramps [although the ones i DO get are still wicked severe]. pot too, helps crampos a lot, and the mood swings.

Since I had my munchkin I have lucked out [almost 6 years ago]. I get a bit bitchy [at times], not that bad though, chocolate makes that go away; I am more prone to migraines [sucks but thats what Imitrex is for]; thats about it. I take progesterone (sp?) only birthcontrol pills and with the daily migraine meds, now I have an easy time with PMS and so does everyone else around me.

I have heard the 'tie you up bit' it makes me laugh, soem tops think that is the trump card and default for everything, reality check, not gonna work. When it does get really bad, I just curl up in bed with my body pillow or take a hot bath and consume high quality chocolate which I keep around only for those times. Guaradili's Dark Chocolate Truffles makes everything better.

Since i am on Depo, i don't really have periods- but i know it's "that time" when i start crying. Alot.

YOU LUCKY DUCK!!!! over in a few days? this slave only wishes she could be that lucky..

this slave experiences the following symptoms anywhere from as little as 2, to as much as 8 WEEKS straight with a gracious one or two WEEKS in between :

Long bouts of sleeping
soaking wet sheets, pillows, hair and body
swollen, painful breasts and underarms
nausea, vomiting
crying at all commercials, even ones advertising automotive products

symptoms constantly present:
super thick, fast growing hair and nails
high sex drive with more natural lubrication than necessary

symptoms occasionally present:
migraine headaches

the up side is that this is BETTER than it was when this slave had a uterus that gushed like Ol' Faithful for 9 days a pop, a cervix with precancerous cells, a right ovary with mutiple cysts and endometriosis all over her abdominal cavity...PLUS the abovementioned symptoms!

how does it affect our relationship? Hmmmm...Master does as He wishes with His slave in spite of any of the symptoms...this slave might have to excuse herself to go puke in a proper place if she is feeling nausea, but it doesn't get in the way of this slave's service. added bonus: there are no "off days" since Master isn't into blood play!!!

this one will cry at the drop of a hat....watching a commercial and a dad will hug his child and i have to have a box of tissues beside me....light sencitivity<sp>...and then on top of that i can go for about 4 wks non stop...sux and not even in a good way

I usually just have a slight headache and the small of my back is achy for a couple days. Other then that I'm pretty much normal. My sensitivity to touch sometimes is alot higher but not always. I do have a serious chocolate craving for 2 days too though *g*

Shadowspawn.... When you decide to come off the depro watch for some serious personality changes. I was on it for over 6 years. Thought it was great till i decided to come off. I almost put a rolling pin through my boyfriends head, and i'm a very non violent person usually. I had to do hormone therapy to re-stabalize. And now i can't even take the pill because it throws me into massive mood swings.
There were a couple of other side effects that aren't so pleasant either that I had after i came off. Just a hint of some things to watch for.

I never had PMS until after i gave birth, and it can be pretty emotional...i cry easily....and my temper is much shorter the week or so before actual menstration.....however...i also ,find myself incredibly charged sexually...nearly insatiable as well.. I feel like i'm on the fast track to menopause, and look forward to the end of the whole mess...but worry when i hear horror stories of post menopausal women losing sexual desire...etc..

i was on depo and i decided to go off to clean out my system ya know? i tried to go back on three months later, but in that 3 months, and the 6 following i was just crazy. not to mention the 9 months it took to get me feeling as me. i am on nuva ring now and its great.

i get severe headaches during ovulation and a migraine the day before my period starts.

For about a week before my period i have no patience and i don't bite my tongue much.

About 2 days before my period i get slight cramps. For about 12 hours before i start i get cramps that require serious pain meds. Without my meds i am balled up in the fetal positon for 10-12 hours with severe cramping, back pain, headache, sweats, and nausea. i can usually tell when the pain is going to be severe and if i catch it on time i can still function. Without meds i wouldn't be able to do anything for 10 hours. i am a very cuddly person but during this time i don't want to be touched.

The day after my period i have the sex drive of a madwoman and this lasts for about a week.

The one thing I really miss about being on the pill is the regularity of knowing when my period is going to start. I had my tubes tied last year ( no little ankle biters for me *S*) and it's fairly unpredictable. I get a bit moodier and a hell of a lot hornier *s* Rob likes to compare me to a cat in heat, unfortunatly he's pretty grossed out so I tend to have to help myself a lot *S*.

I have heard a lot of horror storys about depo, mostly about hormonal changes and either having no period or one that lasts the whole year.

I turn into Chthulu. Seriously. Don't tell anyone. I get downright evil. I'm usually pretty good at controlling it, but I am insanely needy, weepy, and venomous all at the same time. I fly into rages for very little reason if left unchecked. Mainly, though, that's from the pain. I get HORRIBLE cramps the week before I start my period. Then they get much worse when I actually start to bleed.

It's weird but I actually feel physically stronger during my period... I can work out a lot harder and much longer for some reason. Has anyone else had this happen?

I do get cramps maybe once or twice a year, and my breasts are unbelievably tender from ovulation onwards - they go up a whole cup size... The smell of almost all cooking food will often make me nauseous, so I tend to just take some evening primrose oil, multi v's and drink a whole lotta tea. Other than that I'm fine, it really doesn't affect my day to day operation. It doesn't affect our relationship because neither of us are wigged by menstrual blood - Ry loves it, and if anything, I'm more randy during that time.
