No, you asked a mean spirited question that was skewed.

I went to my first munch a couple of months ago in my local area and no one looked like they just rolled out of bed.
Both the couples, and unattached people who attended, were well groomed.
The people came in all shapes and sizes; so some were thin, some not- but no one weighed 300lbs.
The people were friendly and welcoming.

Perhaps it is the area you live in; maybe the culture is more casual there.
Or maybe you just wear cat puke colored glasses.

I first became interested in this "lifestyle" because of a fascination I had with the thought of spanking.
And now that I am owned I have discovered that my submission has a specificity to it: it is specific to Him.
So there is no desperation there.

My grandmother had a saying "Pretty is as pretty does.".
You ain't so pretty.

You also live in a state with notoriously low wages; people often have to work 2 or 3 jobs just to make ends meet.
So perhaps the people who attended were ummm, I don't know, tired?
And maybe some of them had rolled out of bed, but did you put your judgments aside and actually try to get to know anyone?
My guess is you couldn't be bothered.

I would love to hit a gym at the end of the day got a bit of a gut my ass could be smaller yadda yadda yadda, but here's the rub Derek, I'm one of those scruffy fuckers who would turn up at a munch straight from work covered in grease with oil under my nails, smelling of workaday sweat. You see I start work at 6.am & my shift finishes at 6pm. I build big fuck of construction plant equipment & I'm too shattered at the end of the day to hit a gym & besides I don't have any grip left, you see I have white finger. Now my friends who know me understand that if there's something going on on a week night then I am going to turn up all hot dirty & smelly. We live in the real world where some of us are blue collar working stiffs. Some of the ladies hold down equally hard jobs & raise kidfs & they don't have time to doll themselves up all the time either.
Life well real life aint a bdsm porn vid. Well not all the time:-)

You are right. You never said that, you simply implied it.

I mean, you used the words "cat puke" to describe how you viewed others in your (our) community. Honestly, that implies you are too good for them.

You also said that fat people don't try. I am sure you think you try, so someone who doesn't try wouldn't be good enough for you.

I am just taking logical steps.

You already stated it as a fact. So you've answered your own question.

And when did you ever state you were too good for anyone?
When you said "These people are supposed to be submissive to me? How are they supposed to take care of MY needs, when they have quit on themselves?"

And by implication, your OP and almost every post after that.

Status: offline 		I'll agree with the 'older' to a point. Most young people are fucking CLUELESS about what they want and they havent had the time to experiment and develop preferences. It's called "Self Actualization" by the people with German Accents that have you lie on a couch in their office.

It takes time to decide that what you REALLY enjoy is flogging someone until they bleed then writing your name in hot wax or with a razor blade on their privates or throatfucking some slut until she is whimpering, puking and begging for mercy.

You don't see 18-year-olds with that kind of experience and those 10 years older than that are uncommon.

This is why we goof so much on those duck-faced 19 year olds experienced Dommes on the other side.

I don't think it's about being politically correct, at all. I think it's about general manners, and actually thinking about what you post before you do it.

As for your revised question, I think the BDSM lifestyle doesn't particularly attract more overweight and older people. I think it attracts people who are into BDSM, plain and simple. All sorts of people. It's called the real world. It's called life. I suggest you concentrate more on who people are, not what they look like and stop making assumptions. It might help things.

You realllly are determined to dig yourself in deeper aren't you?

So people who discovered this 20, 30, 40 years ago should avoid going to munches and other events?
(And you do know that older is subjective too, right?)
Guess what?
At some point, you will be one of those "older people".

Edit to add: You also live in a state that people retire to.
My suggestion?
Move to another state.
