That's very true and I think most of would agree. But she has no idea the multitude of things that can cause this to explode and I think most of us see it as irresponsible to risk her children in the conflagration that will ensue.

Hey, I am all for allowing any and all sorts of screwed up adults to continuing screwing up their lives. It's comedy for me. I'm not a betting woman but I would consider it if there were odds on her coming back here and writing another thread, on how tragically wrong this shit's gone.

But yeah, to watch her try and sell it as something other than shit, especially for the ones that didn't consent to the shit, I am not going to give her an "atta girl!"

OsideGirl, I do agree that because others are involved, the potential consequences border on the tragic. But this is no different from a multitude of decisions that adults make that cause their children grief in specific situations (and I mean anything from divorce to drugs to the bf/gf that becomes the abusive stepparent, etc., etc., etc.) The fact that the odds are so against her do not mean she is not entitled to make her choice. And, for better or for worse, most kids in the world, are along for whatever ride their parents take them on. I see a lot of tragic things imposed on children through no fault of their own. And that, from the children's perspective, is just tremendous bad luck. Because we have no rules about parents being forced to make only those decisions which are in the best interest for their children (and I'm not sure as a society that such rules would even be possible - for example, most children are financially worse off after their parents divorce - but I'm not sure that it is tenable for society to therefore prohibit divorce. As always, things are complicated.) But I will say this. I do think children, on the whole, end up having to put up with a lot due to the selfishness of the adults in their lives. This has been true since time immemorial. And it IS tragic. For every terrific parent out there, there is one that is messing up their child's lives in ways that we, as a society, can really do nothing about.

I wonder about the people who insist Im nuts, even try to convince me Im nuts and wonder if they have children. Those are the children I feel sorry for, myself, but then again Im nuts.

Believe it or not most of the ppl posting are actually trying to help you with the good advice they are giving. I suggest you go to a shrink and explain the situation to them and ask them what they think. I have a reeal good idea what their answer will be.

If you remember I was one of the few (maybe the only one) who encouraged you to continue with the relationship. I am glad to hear i was right and things are working out for you.

The thing you have to realize when you post for advice on a message board is that you usually get bad advice from the mob. think about it, most of the posters are wanna-bees and if they knew what they were talking about, they would be out doing it...no talking about it for endless hours online. I mean get real, I can check this site in the morning and then come back late at night, and some of the people posted all ficken day...are you kidding me? What could they possibly be experiencing with another human being in real life???

For the millionth time - if you leave your browser open you will be displayed as logged in no matter what you are doing. For me, this month alone, that includes going to two munches and NELA's Fetish Flea, and trying out all the fun toys M bought there, as well as going to the gym, my mother's, my brother's, the library, supermarkets, etc, etc.
