All of them.

Well. Actually, that's not fair. I've met only 3 that didn't come across as either:

Morons ("I'm dominate so I don't use periods or spell words correctly.")
Neanderthals ("Me Tarzan! You Jane! *grunt* *grunt*")
Self-inflated pricks ("I think I could make you submit" "Oh really? I think I can block you!")

But the 3 who weren't any of those have been kind, helpful, non-patronizing, and generous. I owe them a lot, and more.
(And these are Male Dominants, by the way. Female Dominants generally don't message me, so limited experience. =P)

The worst Dom I ever met told my best friend that he believed I was plotting to kill him while he slept. He told her to watch out and not sleep either, or I'd probably kill her too. It was SOOOO bad that once we got over the shock and rage, it's now become a running joke.

All are common place for lazy Gorean or poly men(gags). They don't have the money for their own upkeep yet they will steal from you by breaking you down. This men should be shot. Not joking the damage that they cause goes beyond any surface.

this sounds like what I was going threw... and I'm very new to the scene.

He says my heart is not into it when I think it is.

Is what is quoted above, and what I talk about below, unrealistic expectations?

Do on to others which you want others to do on to you?
That your needs and wants are pushed aside for your doms?

I'm honestly not interests in controlling people, or having thing be about me....

Really I just would think it can't be about one person, about just what the dom wants all the time....
It maybe a vanilla thing to ask, but, isn't there any time a sub has there needs fulfilled?

Is it really going to always be about them 24/7 with you on the sidelines?

I have a hard time seeing the divider... nothing that says "this when you needs or feelings" are cared about.

I noticed from what I am reading, and other doms are telling me, is that it is selfish to be to think about our needs or desires because it's not your place.

Or that your place is to only to obey, never judge, question or hell have any rights for your own individuality.

I maybe getting a little carried away here... hmm off topice

But with all these thought on a Bad dom,

what do people think makes a dom a bad dom? what characteristics?

Thr worst one had to be the one we arranged to meet in a parkinf lot of a diner. We met and were gonna go for lunch. he asid damn i have no money i am gonna go over to the bank over there and be right back I said ok i will wait for you,. he never came back. worst one i've ever had was cruel and mentally/ verbally abusive to me. Used to tell me that I couldnt talk to anyone without his permission, men and women. Told me constantly how stupid I was for being polyamorous and that I knew nothing about it (yet I've been poly for 10 years???? really?!?!) and also told me I was the worst submissive, which yeah i was I was still new and learning at that point! Like I should have instantly knew everything. Or the fact that he wanted my usernames and passwords to everything i.e.: email, fetlife, collarme, facebook, yahoo messenger...yeah right. I ALMOST NEVER had a safe word and when I did he didnt respect it. Then told me later that I said the wrong "safe word". Every Dom I've met since has told me that he was just playing a game and using me as his play thing. At the very least I now know the difference between a loving and controlled Dom/sub relationship and a cruel and abusive one. Never again

A pattern I'm noticing here is that the bad Doms seems to be
a) Stupid
b) lacking in perception - their sub-scanners view every female as a target
c) Lacking in the basic social skills, like consideration
d) Lacking in the ability to pick up on a persons deeper needs. And
e) personally inadequate, which they try to cover by being with people who automatically submit.

So a good dom would be:
Intelligent
Perceptive
Socially adept
Sensitive to another persons needs (even if they intend to exploit them)
Confident and well balanced, able to deal with people on equal terms.

How does that sound?

I guess I've met my share of liars, bullies and con-men. But most of those never made it past my vetting stages to real life meets.

My worst r/t meet was early on. We talked online and by phone, and met for dinner a few times, so I thought I had a handle on it, but maybe I had a bit of new sub-frenzy and was too eager to get out there and DO it. He presented himself as experienced. I thought he was interesting and might be fun (ex-navy and knew a lot about rope) so we played a bit. He was so nervous (yes, THAT nervous). He was so happy and grateful to me for allowing him to tie me up. Huh???

The next day I told him that we wouldn't work as I had the stronger personality. He proceeded to spend the next few weeks begging me to see him again. Dominant my ass.

This guy said he was a Protector Dom but 3 days later decided he was a Mentor/ Trainer. Ultimately, he was a sadist who had so much guilt about who he was, he ran back and forth to vanilla world and hasn't grown or changed one bit. Avoid those who don't accept themselves.

And the walls came tumbling down......

I had a wednesday off from work, he said he couldnt do a wednesday. But then he had a marvelous idea!
I had complained we do nothing but sessions, frustrating sessions at that and his way of making up for it and keep me interested was to take me on a short vacation! He had planned it all out, we fly off into the sunset for a few days. Music to my ears, this is what I had been waiting for, some sign, some gesture of appreciation, I was pumped!
