Kalikshama:

I've seen pictures of this museum. It has displays of humans hanging out with dinos like it's nothing. It certainly is a bit of a culture shock.

Seriously.....I just had a conversation with someone that thinks that dinosaurs are fake and were planted by atheists.

Bummer, I really thought nobody saw me with those dinos. I'm sorry, they just took up too much room in the house and so I put them into my time machine and hid them in various places... Don't report me for littering, I honestly thought since they are organic matter, that I could get away with it.

Does anybody want to buy a T-rex btw? The feeding costs are killing me...

Introduce it to your neighbor's cat. Winner gets neutered.

That sounds like a practical solution....

Yeah, we have one in town.

To be honest, it reminded me a lot of the Flintstones...

I kinda liked the "Jesus walked with dinosaurs" stuff http://www.dailysquib.co.uk/most-popular/1236-scientists-prove-jesus-walked-with-dinosaurs.html

Makes you wonder why nobody mentioned them, I would have thought that with one big dino he could have fed a lot more people than with the fish...

The Discussions I've had on this type of topic
are appalling...
People who are suppose to strive to be
humble and helpful, who actually carry
on like This!
It's more than shameful, it's a dam shame...

I'll reiterate: I think it'll be okay as long as it doesn't turn into a religion bashing fest.

Your thread was a religion-bashing fest. Which is why many people, including me, called you out on your hypocrisy.

This thread doesn't have to go in that direction, nor do you have to attempt to pull it there.

The fact a Mod had to remove a lot of the
derogatory stupidity that stemmed from me
basically saying... "I am frustrated that I can't
have a reasonable discussion with these
religious people I know. Is there anyone on
here who can answer some things?"
And you haven't learnt a thing...

I'm not bashing religion, the link is black and
white. I asked for help four times and each day
got shouted down by idiocy, five pages and
only one person was even reasonable enough to
paste me a link to info, which didn't help but the
thought was there dammit...

And anyway the thread is there for people to
make up there own mind about it. In my opinion
it's a testament to a culture of fear and
close-mindedness.

Your own close-mindedness was evident in the thread as it went on. It didn't start off irredeemable, but you made statements that people objected too. Which opened up the flood gates for the religion-bashers, but their posts are now deleted as well.

Yes. The thread is there, but that thread is not here. And you're trying to bring it here as one poster put it in the other thread to "stir the pot". Haven't learned indeed.

GreedyTop -> RE: I need something to bang my head on.... (8/13/2012 12:10:58 PM)

Having read the original thread, I hadn't seen anything profoundly objectionable in Aries OP. I thought his premise was worth exploring, even if clumsily stated.

*shrug*

maybe that's just me..

Ew. Dinosaur. It sounds like it'd be very dry.

Nah. It's not just you. It wasn't that offensive, albeit clumsy. It was other things that were said, combined with the clumsiness that made it implode on itself. But about 1/2 of the thread has been deleted now.

ARIES83 -> RE: I need something to bang my head on.... (8/13/2012 12:17:03 PM)

Thank you Greedy.
Does this mean your not going to hurt me
for tricking you into looking at that 50shades
video?

GreedyTop -> RE: I need something to bang my head on.... (8/13/2012 12:20:14 PM)

giventhat the OP was kinda clumsy, to me, it stands to reason that replies may have been equally so. Haven't been back to look (I seriously only check P&R when I am deadly bored), but given Aries posting history (dude, I do like you, but...) it wouldn't surprise me to find that his responses were equally clumsy. I think he KNOWS what he is trying to say, but doesn't articulate it as well as most folks (including myself) would care for.

JanahX -> RE: I need something to bang my head on.... (8/13/2012 12:20:24 PM)

I talked to someone who was tweaked out of their gourd once (when I lived in Alaska) and they told me that the moose tracks in the woods outside the house were really made by the feds on stilts that had moose hoofs carved out on the bottom of them.

I was like dooooood -

THAT WAS A SAD NOTE !!!

Lulz. Not everything taste like chicken. Sadly. [>:]

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/2010/10/what_did_dinosaur_meat_taste_like.html

This link actually says that it would probably taste closer to hawk than chicken. And I can imagine that hawk wouldn't be tasty.

I was sitting next to a guy that once told me that he lives off the grid because if someone poisons his neighbors water supply, he doesn't want it to effect his water supply.
