He had the two small cuts to the back of his head. Loose rocks, twigs... bits of loose cement... lots of things could have caused that injury when he fell back after the punch to the face.

Or they could have went down together in a struggle.

I would have bought either story.... but this repeated pounding of his head into the pavement.... the multiple punches thrown to Z's head... all that isnt shown in the autopsy.

And none of that rules out self defense.

soo are you contending that Z's motive was to "shake the guy down"??

not trying to be smart here, and I am SURE you are 100% correct, but how does that apply to this instance

also, why would an officer single someone out using that "excuse" if he didn't suspect something to start with...

are you saying they just get bored and "shake down" random people?

and lets not forget, that while that may be an excuse used by cops frequently in this case it happen to be TRUE!

No, I'm not contending anything about Z. Where did you see that?

I was simply referring to your experiences while riding around and again while you were working as a professional and awaiting a client.

They stopped you to mess with you. Period.
"are you saying they just get bored and "shake down" random people?" Not random people, people who are young and/or poor and are the most likely to be intimidated.
Do I say it happens. Absolutely.
There's a small subset of the LEO community that just enjoys pushing people around. That's why they got the badge in the first place.

I didn't see that, thats why I was asking, wanting to know if thats what you were trying to say had happened...
it was a question not an accusation.

No one has yet to explain how the swelling went down within a few short hours.

Do you know?

No, I do not know. But I can speculate: there is a lot of blood going through the brain and other parts of the head; it might clean up the damage pretty quickly.

TThe Defense got the ME to admit the left side of his head could have been hit 4 times, same for the right, and acknowledge the possibility of the back of his head having multiple injuries. Her direct testimony kinda got demolished on cross examination.

No. The ME had to acknowledge anything no matter how improbable is possible but the fact remains, the injuries are consistent with one punch and the back of his head hitting something hard once. Everything else is simple speculation.

The injuries were insignificant and did not indicate Martin was employing sufficient force to make a reasonable man afraid of imminent death or great bodily harm. Losing a fist fight is not a valid legal reason to kill someone.

I don't know enough about martian's phisyology to know if he bruises easily or not

According to accounts on these threads, there was at least 4 punches thrown. Only one hand was injured. I account that as the one to the nose.

No one has yet to explain how the swelling went down within a few short hours.

Do you know?

actually the same thing I said regarding M's phisyology explains it, some people's bodies just react differantly, pure an simple

it has been explained over an over an over again, from my story about falling of a moving car at 20 MPH and just a small cut on the back of my head to someone saying they were rendered unconsious without a scratch
to a sub I had once whose mark would virtualy dissapear within minutes, and she was one of those girls that WANTED marks she could look at in a mirror later, so I was TRYING to mark her!

The only thing suspicious about Martin according to Zimmerman was that he was black unless you really believe simply walking slowly and looking around is somehow inherently criminally suspicious.

When asked what race Martin was he responded that is not profiling.
Cracker on the other hand is.

He decided he was suspicious for some reason. none was given. The conclusion is fairly obvious.

Swelling from a broken nose is notorious for slow healing.. and reduction... usually at least a week.

the bouncing floor in a gym was explained. Unconscious was a brain injury.

I dont bruise easily initially either.... yet my ass will be black and blue the next day. That doesnt mean anything when speaking about the thin skin of the knuckles.

Gun proponents like you want to see the use of guns as legitimate and hence want to see the facts in favor of Zimmerman. Hardly any of you even consider Zimmerman stupid and reckless.

Use of guns is legitimate and sometimes appropriate. Anti gunners want to invalidate self defense to help disarm people. That would explain why the concept that the defendant is innocent until proven guilty not guilty till proven innocent as any claim that he has to prove self defense when it is the state which must prove it was not.

In most places self defense is an affirmative defense which does shift the burden to the defense.

Can some explain how Zimmerman can claim the stand your ground law and self defense without testifying? Is not the burden of proof on him here? (It's an affirmative defense.)

I'm having trouble squaring those two statements.

Martin's race was the sole factor to arouse Zimmerman's suspicion, yet he wasn't profiling?

Except that there is no evidence that it was even part of it. It was Martins ducking between buildings possibly in an attempt to avoid getting rained on as much that raised Zimmerman's suspicions. Remember he didn't say there is this black guy who looks suspicious it was this guy looks suspicious and then they asked him what race the guy was. Did Zimmerman have to refuse to answer to avoid profiling? And what is creepy ass cracker but racist profiling?

Where did he say anything about ducking between buildings? He said he was walking and looking around.

Are you blind? In my post 156 I made bold Zimmerman's named reasons for perceiving Martin as a suspect - or did you miss that post?

He did it was Martin's actions. I see you do not choose to comment on Martin's blatant racism.

maybe this will clear things up, he was suspicious because he reasonably fit the description of people suspected of recent break ins, it shouldn't need to be said because its so obvious!

the transcript of the 911 call CLEARLY shows race was not even mentioned by Z until ASKED about race!
and even then he didn't state absolutely he was BLACK, his words according to the transcript are he APPEARS to be black, leaving for some uncertianly on Z's part as to his race
now you can contend Z was smart enough to word that so as to protect himself from seeming racist, but those are the FACTS in evidence in the trial
