My work had the power to curse man instead of saving him due his lowly stature.

Except for the High Priest no one was permitted to enter the Holy of Holies. Due to the Sinfulness of man, man could not approach God. The blessing of Christ was needed.

How was the Church kind to me? It granted my wish.

When something is difficult to grasp the temptation is to say that it doesn't exist and therefore illegitimate.

Is there a need for modesty? Consider what Freud said in his book Civilization and Its Discontents. We all have unfulfilled desires. Who needs to be constantly reminded of it?

The problem is no matter what policy you come up with someone is going to get the short end of the stick. How do you get to this promised land? So you come up with something that seems to do the trick. The Devil on the other hand is forever whining.

So when will it be good enough for you? When you get to Heaven?

Ask yourself why is it that the Church can be permissive about such things as prostitution? Because it is corrupt? Why is it the Protestants are so willing to get puritanical? Do they know something that the Church doesn't? It is evident the Church developed theories while contemplating the nature of man similar in some respects to the work of Freud. Blocking up the sewer pipe might not be a good idea.

Ask yourself, is going to confession, participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, similar in some respects to Freudian talk therapy?

I hope you aren't expecting your very own section to give sermons in. I don't see that happening.

However, if you are going to Mount CollarmeChat... you might actually put together a sermon rather than twitter type comments.

I know... I know... get behind me.

I suppose what some lament that the Church did not take the pharmaceutical route. Here my son, take two of these and see me in the morning.

I was wondering what you thought of RemoteUser. I wonder what Pamplona was a reference to. There was a hidden message in something else he posted so I'm wondering if there is a hidden message here as well.

Good Morning BenevolentM.
Is this scripture? I was just curious. Are you referring to your work or Gods work?

The short answer is, Is this Scripture? It is. I will present you with a religious argument. When you do a good deed are you not rewarded in Heaven for it? The treasure is your property. It does not belong to the person who is the recipient of your goodness. It is yours. I have the means to be a Bearer of Gifts. For it I will have much treasure in Heaven. It won't be your treasure, however. Therein lies the problem.

To Save you I must encourage you to take responsibility.

To encourage another to take responsibility one must often withdraw your goodness from them, but this too has its problems. If you withdraw too much, you will have no treasure in Heaven.

Neither the liberal nor conservative paradigm work because there are two paths to Hell. If you feel you are righteous because you are a liberal, you would be wrong. If you feel you are righteous because you are a conservative, you would be wrong.

Both the liberal and the conservative is going to Hell. Hell is an equal opportunity employer. It will take you both and call you its sons and daughters.

Geeezzzzzzzzz we have a prophet among us.

You know they stone false prophets in the bible, don't ya?

NO MAN is to determine who makes it to heaven. You are spouting your take on things... which doesn't line up with any of the bibles I have and I have a few.

My work is a work of man sanctioned by God. You would think it would be better for me to call it a Revelation, but this is not so. I affirm the story of Genesis. We were created in the image of God, we were noble born. It is what the Devil wished to deny and tempted Christ to deny.
