It wasn't a trial.

Tell us what it was then, because the rules of s Congressional hearing were thrown out before it began, the final verdict was a foregone conclusion at the outset, and the highly partisan group of charlatans running it hired an ABC network producer to sell their propaganda fest to unwitting useful idiots like you

It was necessary. I'm not sure why you're howling about what it was called, when their final report is now available. That report includes legislative changes that should be made, as well as criminal referrals for Trump and Eastman.

US Government was a required course for me to graduate high school. I did quite well in it, and enjoyed it immensely. Trials are conducted by the Judicial branch of our government. The only trial our legislative branch can conduct is to impeach a sitting president. At least according to the US Constitution.

Attacking me personally doesn't make you look good, or me look bad. It doesn't persuade anyone to think as you do. In fact, it's fairly pointless. But your opinion of me doesn't change my credit score, or really anything.

Not even the results of the Committee or their report.

The President told everyone to "fight like hell"

The ridiculous claim that Nancy Pelosi refused National Guard assistance has been debunked so many times, I have no idea why it is repeated. Nancy Pelosi has ZERO authority over the National Guard. Even if the House Sergeant at Arms is in charge of security.

“The National Guard can only be activated by the president or a governor,” Huder added. “In the case of D.C., it can only be mobilized by the president of the United States.”

There was never any doubt that the one-sided show trial would have any other outcome. The defendant was allowed no representation, no cross examination of witnesses was allowed, opposition witnesses were forbidden etc etc etc. It was literally scripted theater produced by a major network executive. Criminalizing political opposition has always been a huge part of any communist game plan.

1. This was a select committee with a mission to find the causes for Jan 6th. It was not a trial.
2. The original request was for a bipartisan 9/11 style commission. Republicans knew they and the president were heavily involved in the crime, and didn't want a bi-partisan commission to find the facts and have legitimacy
3. The Nancy Pelosi tried to create a bi-partisan commission in the House. McCarthy chose morons like Jim Jordan to be on it. Knowing the he was a material witness and guilty as sin of sedition, Pelosi refused (BTW: his text messages prove this out). So McCarthy whined like a baby and pulled all his picks from the commission. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger volunteered to be on the commission and were selected.
4. Nearly all testimony given to the commission was given by Republicans (including Jared and Ivanka, Mark Milley, Bill Barr, Hope Hicks, Cassidy Hutchinson, and more) Are you calling them all Communists?
5. Since this is a commission and not a trial, it goes where the facts take it. There can be no "Cross examination" because the entire commission has the same goal of finding the truth. The text messages speak for themselves. The witnesses can't all be lying. The transcripts of what they said are available.

Sorry BoscoX...

Your link can't debunk anything. The simple fact is...

Nancy Pelosi has ZERO control over any National Guard.

Milley (selected by Trump) has control via order of the President, as do state governors

All your link says is that Carol Corbin texted Sean Gallagher asking him if he was REQUESTING National Guard troops.

There is no evidence Nancy Pelosi was even notified. Or Mitch McConnell for that matter who the Senate SAA reported to.

Further, the President can deploy Guard or regular military at any time with or without a request.

Your debunks nothing. Milley testified under oath that the Trump never ordered any troops.

While your link debunks nothing, your repeated lie has been debunked too many times to count.

Craziness

I am old enough to remember far left fake "fact checkers" lecturing that the Hunter Biden laptop was "Russian disinformation", that making Big Pharma rich beyond anything ever known would stop the Fauci virus, etc etc etc.

Whenever they "fact check" something you can make bank betting the exact opposite, because they're all political hacks. Democrat Party operatives, just like the FBI

The top ten times in 2021 fake far left fact checkers looked you straight in the eye and lied to you

Oh. A Fox News link
This should be good.

Ehh... I got bored. They're talking about things I don't care about that have nothing to do with the topic of this thread. Imagine that.

But I will probably spend hours trying to figure out what UTRA MAGA is. And while I am glad you changed your siggy, the reason I think it's obnoxious is that it just wastes space and makes me have to scroll more when you post. Your politics are yours to have. Cuz MURIKA n stuff.
Oh, and I think the joke Ted Cruz stole was about pronouns. Not nouns. It actually fits this site the way you have it, other than that. But that's just grammar and fourth grade English.

So I once again debunk and completely obliterate the stupid lie about Trump offering 10,000 troops and having them refused by Nancy Pelosi.

And you respond with a Fox New link about fact-checkers.

You're highly trained to believe anything your corporate media gods indoctrinate into you, and your ideological blinders reliably have you ignoring anything and everything that shines a light on those elitist cockroaches

Again - the link I posted on page one of this thread debunked all of your far left lying "fact checkers".

quote:

WASHINGTON (TND) — Editor's Note: The information below outlining how the House and Senate sergeants at arms report to "House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer" refers to the current hierarchy as of June 9, 2022, not the one that existed on January 6, 2021. The quote below from Kash Patel claiming the House and Senate sergeants at arms reported to Nancy Pelosi on January 6, 2021 is inaccurate. The Senate sergeant at arms reported to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell at the time.

A Capitol Police timeline of the days and weeks surrounding Jan. 6 shows former President Donald Trump’s Department of Defense (DOD) offered the National Guard’s assistance in the days leading up to the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol, validating claims from Trump administration officials that were said to be false by liberal fact-checkers.

What we also know is that President Trump wanted to make sure that the people that came, that there was a safe environment for that kind of assembly,” former President Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told Fox News’s Sean Hannity.

And I’ve said that publicly before — the 10,000 National Guard troops that he wanted to make sure that everything was safe and secure," Meadows said. "Obviously having those National Guards available, actually the reason they were able to respond when they did, was because President Trump had actually put them on alert.

Liberal “fact-checkers” like The Washington Post and PolitiFact argued the claim about National Guard assistance coming from Meadows and other top Trump administration officials was false, but an official timeline of the events leading up to Jan. 6 apparently shows differently.

According to the timeline, a DOD official reached out to Capitol Police Deputy Chief Sean Gallagher four days before the attack on the U.S. Capitol to inquire about whether Capitol Police anticipated they would request National Guard troops be deployed to prepare for Jan. 6.

“Carol Corbin (DOD) texts USCP Deputy Chief Sean Gallagher, Protective Service Bureau, to determine whether USCP is considering a request for National Guard soldiers for January 6, 2021 event,” the timeline reads in an entry listed for Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.

The next morning, the timeline indicates, “Gallagher replies to DOD via text that a request for National Guard support not forthcoming at this time after consultation with COP Sund.”

However, that initial rejection from Capitol Police came as they were beginning to change their assessment of the potential threats of violence.

Just hours after Gallagher’s rejection of DOD’s offer for troops, Capitol Police issued a new warning to its commanders and executives, as well as to the two congressionally appointed House and Senate Sergeants at Arms responsible for congressional security, the timeline shows.

Due to the tense political environment following the 2020 election, the threat of disruptive actions or violence cannot be ruled out,” stated the new assessment, chronicled in Capitol Police's Jan. 6 timeline. “Supporters of the current president see January 6, 2021 as the last opportunity to overturn the results of the presidential election. This sense of desperation and disappointment may lead to more of an incentive to become violent.

Within 24-hours of the new assessment’s circulation, then-chief of the Capitol Police Steve Sund changed course and began requesting permission to deploy National Guard troops from the House and Senate Sergeant at Arms – both of whom report to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer, respectively.

“COP Sund asks Senate Sergeant at Arms (SSAA) Michael Stenger and House Sergeant at Arms (HSAA) Paul Irving for authority to have National Guard to assist with security for the January 6, 2021 event based on briefing with law enforcement partner and revised intelligence Assessment,” the timeline notes. “COP Sund's request is denied. SSAA and HSAA tell COP Sund to contact General Walker at DC National Guard to discuss the guard's ability to support a request if needed.”

As Sund’s requests were denied, the Trump administration continued working on getting then-President Trump to formally authorize the deployment of as many as 20,000 National Guard troops to the Capitol ahead of the Jan. 6 rally, according to Just The News, which conducted interviews with then-acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller and his Chief of Staff Kash Patel.

The Capitol Police timeline shows what we have been saying for the last year — that DOD support via the National Guard was refused by the House and Senate sergeant at arms, who report to Pelosi,” said Patel. “Now we have it in their own writing, days before Jan. 6. And despite the FBI warning of potential for serious disturbance, no perimeter was established, no agents put on the street, and no fence put up.

Furthermore, as word began circulating around Washington of the Capitol Police’s changing stance on the need for National Guard troops on Jan. 6, Democratic Mayor for the District of Columbia, Muriel Bowser, wrote a letter to Miller and other Departments of Defense and Justice officials asking that National Guard troops not be deployed unless the local Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) approved.

Bowser cited an earlier event from the summer of 2020, when National Guard troops were deployed to Lafayette Park outside the White House amid social justice protests that took place in the nation’s capital, spurred by the death of George Floyd. Bowser argued the deployment “caused confusion” and could have led to “a national security threat with no way for MPD and federal law enforcement to decipher armed groups.”

“To be clear, the District of Columbia is not requesting other federal law enforcement personnel and discourages any additional deployment without immediate notification to and consultation with MPD, if such plans are underway," Bowser wrote in her letter, adding that MPD was “well trained and prepared to lead the way” on ensuring safety during the rally in the nation’s capital on Jan. 6.

I don't need any fact checkers. I have facts. Nancy Pelosi does not have the authority to order National Guard troops or any troops.
FACT

Someone at the DOD, according to your link asked someone at the Capitol Police if they were REQUESTING National Guard. The answer was "Not at this time." That appears to have been an erroneous decision. I seriously doubt Trump, or Pelosi knew anything about the conversation until well after 1/6.

Your link is very suspect in itself. As it was on one specific NBC station. (Not NBC News as a whole)... That station is owned by.... Wait for it....

Really?
Please enlighten me on any part of my post that isn't true

Well...

For one. I don't have a prized Jan 6 Stalinist show trial.

I have explained numerous times how the commission came about.

It started out as a proposal for a bi-partisan, and I believe bi-cameral (need to verify) 9/11-style commission. Republicans blocked this proposal, fearing it would reveal the truth about their sedition.

When that failed, Pelosi built a commission in the house and asked McCarthy to nominate 5 Republicans.

Kevin McCarthy included Jim Jordan - who everyone knew would be a witness to the committee and therefore could not serve on it. Also, his reputation precedes him in his constants attempt to obstruct any committee he has served on. Instead of asking any questions at hearings, he starts reciting a right-wing revisionist, factually bankrupt history of unrelated events, and ends up wasting the committee's time.

And of course, as the committee obtained his text messages, we now know he was guilty of sedition.

Kevin McCarthy also included Jim Banks, who plainly stated, he was planning to use his position on the committee to focus on his own agenda (namely the Democrats tacit support and tolerance of continued summer rioting)

Pelosi rejected both of those picks.

Kevin McCarthy whined like a baby and then pulled all of his picks.

Knowing that if he couldn't have people on the committee derailing and discrediting it and he still put Republican members on it, 2 things would happen:

1. Seditious acts by a host of Republican House and Senate members would be revealed - That has already happened
2. With a truly bi-partisan committee, he couldn't discredit it by calling it partisan.

So... Pelosi went on without him. Kinzinger and Cheney volunteered from the Republican side. There were 3 more openings for Republican volunteers, but no one dared challenge the master. Pelosi filled the committee with members dedicated to finding the truth.

Pretty much ALL of the testimony was from Republicans (most of the former Trump aides)
The rest of the evidence was email and text messages.

You can call Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, Bill Barr, Mark Milley, Hope Hicks, and Cassidy Hutchinson all Stalinists if you like, but the email and texts alone paint enough of the picture.

Lies, obfuscations and excuses. The only thing that was revealed is that you and your party really like Stalinist show trials. "They can't be allowed a defense because they are guilty as charged. They will be given a fair trial during which they shall be found guilty, and then they will be executed."

On the bright side, the party is over and the adults are finally in charge of the House. I am looking forward to Jim Jordan pressing the FBI on its coverup of Joe Biden taking Chinese bribe money through his crackhead son, among other business

It's gonna be great
