He may have resurrected it but it appears to be a different handle. I read through all of it, The first was DOMWITHHSV who was 45 and from New york whos profile shows a much better attitude. This is HSVDOM from Missouri who is 36 and has the negativity.

Me thinks it smells like we have a troll in our midst.....

lmfao  i still sing that one!

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,
Think I'll go eat worms
.
Big fat juicy ones, Eensie weensy squeensy ones,
See how they wiggle and squirm.

Chomp off their heads
and squeeze out the juice
And throw their tails away
Nobody knows how I survive
On worms three times a day.

I was kissing in the woods instead of playing capture the flag! That was a uber orthodox jewish camp, which of course made it more exciting.

No, not the same person; no, not a troll...just someone who stated their views on how people have reacted...Never asked for a pity party, never asked for childish behaviors through camp songs, and never thought people could be such asses about this.  Thank god you people who have nothing to do but criticize others are not in positions of power.  And to think that (supposing) you have hsv, you would act in such a way...the next time you relate to anyone about something that bothers you, affects you, or try to come to terms with it in a public forum, and nobody acts in a way condusive to conversation or understanding...they should only act so well towards you...The Einstein quote from one of the previous respondant's tags seems to apply only too well here.  As far as filling the role you seem to have put me in, I can only say that the next time you feel bad about something and want to talk about it and relay your experiences, I hope people treat you the same as you have acted here.  Maybe then you will remember your behavior, but since so many seem to be chiming in with similar views...there is probably no hope for enlightenment.
And to those of you who have sent me messages of support, understanding and exaspiration/disgust over the attitudes, insensitivity and moronic mind-set here...thank you.

One of the realities of posting something personal in a public forum is the fact that you have no control over other's reactions.  You always have the option of ignoring the responses that you do not care for.

you might also want to think about my second quote... right underneath the Einstein one you mentioned.

It was very harsh the first time I posted and didnt get back what i wanted. Some of the responses felt really harsh. When I looked at it later and realized maturity is taking the most painful things that are said that made me the most defensive and learning the most from those. People here are honest in their opinions.

I give you alot of credit for putiing your HSV status on your profile, but I dont find it necessary or in your best interest. Why? When I was a kid, lots had "cold sores" and nobody made a big huey about it because regardless of where it is its not a big deal and the flu is more deadly. But the drug company took something common and around through the ages and created a hysteria about it. People have alot of misinformation thanks to the drug companys and they have turned something minor into a big ole shameful std.

I feel you should take it off, let people know who you are without that being a major deal. It is not who you are. I garantee you wil find people who will care for you and want you, who know HSV is just cold sores.

It shouldnt be a sign you wear on your forehead. Unless you arent really wanting intimate friends and use it to hold people back and feel sorry for yourself in a self fulfilling prohesy.

You could easily according to your profile be FITDOM or something else, Unless that is all you are about.

Believe me, I do think it is funny, that is why I keep coming back...the more honest I am, and the more people act the way they have...it only assures me that I am on the right track and helps me to weed out unworthies based upon intellectual ability.  I was a teacher for many years, so am familiar with the know-it-all mentality of uneducated and underdeveloped minds.  The funniest thing I found though, was someone saying that hsv should be kept private...pretty much until you meet someone you would like to know.  Well, this is a sexually slanted/geared site, so I wouldn't want to keep the info from anyone looking at me, as that would be conducive to getting their hopes up if they found me a fit, only to let them down when we get to know each other and want to take it further...I would want to know up front, that way I can be a friend if I don't have it and don't want it, and maybe more if I have it and am looking for someone similar.  This seems only logical and responsible to me...but of course, someone will have to argue the point and show how wrong I am for saying anything at all.

Well, so you start out talking through e-mail. As friends. Not as some drooling sex fiend. Then if you seem to have chemistryy, before you meet in person let them know and tell them you respect their decisions, but you have all the information about what HSV is and what it isnt. letting them know that even without condoms the tranmission rate of those studied was 5-10%. You also let them know how you are fairing with it and how often your breakouts occur with your meds. I know alot of this info as I teach at a medical vocational . school.

I have learned that no amount of arguing, presenting my side of a debate, or talking/posting is going to change  someone else's mind or opinion. I can't change their minds; only they can change them.

And if they won't change their minds, so be it. I decide if the matter is a hard line - in which case I bid them a courteous good-bye - or if I can live with them thinking differently from me - in which case the topic gets buried and not brought up again.

Look, it was my mistake.  I thought you were the same guy, who probably couldn't remember his password from two years ago, and therefore made a similar name.  When someone pointed out the age discrepancy, I went back and realized there was no firm indication that you were the OP on this from two years ago.  Although dragging out such an old post with such a similar name would certainly cause some people, including me, to think that.

I'm still missing the point on saying, "Hi, my name is John, I have herpes."  There are some things that I would think are private and are best left for something other than your opening line.  I don't call that hiding... I'm not sure what to call it other than social graces?
