Yeah, I love the shit out of Dave Chappelle, I wish he was on this site, this isn't the only thread that he could do a whole season outta, there is scads of them on here. The guy could crack till retirement on just two or three of the threads out here.

It all depends on what you slice your history as. Both are dispicable in only the light of events leading up to the civil war and its aftermath.

In terms of most of black history though.....for instance 'Before the Mayflower', by Lerone Bennett, Jr. both views are good to go.

I want to reiterate something. I use the N word. I use it because of various reasons. I use it when fucking, when playing and especially when doing race play one of my favorite things to do. I use it on my radio show and I talk shit about it. I use it in humiliation play when I insist on certain things. Sometimes I use the N word alot other times I don't.

But I am also an oxymoron. I didn't like that Dog used it though I would love to top and fuck his wife and she can say it all she wants within the context of our scene, LOL.

The MC (Nas) has decided to title his new album Nigger that comes out in December. Some are calling for a boycott. I think I understand why he is doing that and I support that. I am hoping there is a least one or two songs I can put on my BDSM scene play list just because.

Mm. I don't use the N word, don't feel entitled to do it freely, but would have absolutely no trouble doing it in a scene if it were negotiated beforehand (or during). It's all in the user's intent and the audience's perception.

I (a white guy) have been in a BDSM relationship with a black woman. During that time I never approached the subject. I found it difficult.

If she brought it up and it was something she wanted, would I use race as a factor? Sure, I would but I would feel pretty uncomfortable with it and would probably only do it in private or close social circles. All being said, I would go pretty far to make my sub happy. Wait, isn’t it the other way around? Confusing isn’t it?

I think it’s both a moral and social issue. I don’t seek it out but I don’t mind offending people. Generally not on those particular grounds though: I don’t like to offend people based on something they have little control over (race, height etc). I find it more rewarding to offend people based on other things that they have total control over. I am happy to call someone an assclown to his/her face but I’m not going to use a racial epithet.

What and interesting post. As a black sub I personally could not image allowing anyone no matter color they are refer to me in such a disrespectful manner. This is not a word that I use or allow others to use around. It sadden me that the black youth has taken to using this words.

For some one that lived during this time it was not fun. Words are not just words when the person using the word also have the power. If I said all red hair people are inferior and I was just the clerk it would mean nothing. But if I said red heads people are inferior and I own all the companies and had the ability to keep every red head person from getting a job, are they still just word? I don’t people with red hair would think so.

I remember all to well when my brother completed his degree and the only job available to him was a trash man. My last Dom/Master/Top was white and I absolutely loved him. I don’t see color only people. Being new to the life style I am still working on words like slave and Master. Lol

But it is your right to do what makes you happy. And if this makes you and him happy have at it. If people around me knew that I seek this lifestyle they would put me in the nut house. But for me I know that it is right and that is all that matter.

Anyway, whatever they call "slaves" here, they're not quite like real "slaves," which my ancestors (and I suppose your ancesters) were. Real slaves don't choose to be slaves. They're captured, or sold, or born into slavery. At least in America, they were legally owned. They could be legally sold. As could their children. They owned no property. They were property!

Unless they've got slave catchers, dogs, and something like a Fugitive Slave Act for BDSM slaves, BDSM "slaves" are somewhat different.

If not, maybe they'll have a Civil War to free the CollarMe slaves!

However, back to your point--even if I, a black man, did want to own a slave, that wouldn't make your thing any less wacky...! We'd just BOTH be wacky!

There's very little stranger, to me, as a black man, than a black man or woman who gets off on some white man or woman whipping them and calling them "nigger." You were born in the wrong era. That coulda been real easy to find in the past!

Great post. I love it.
For my personally I hate saying anything dealing with race. But during play I don't see that big of a problem. If you both understand the statements are not coming from a bad place. It shouldn't be that big of a deal.

For a lot of people words have a lot of power behind it. I get a lot of emails from subs asking me to use race as part of their humilliation. Whatever floats your boat. I know my own self and know whatever I might say during play. Is not how I feel in my everyday life.
