with all due respect,
if the slave is not what a D wants, why not reject that one and find a slave that is closer to what the D is looking for?
i mean, why does a D WANT to break a slave?
it doesnt make them that much more dominate.
i was the property of someone who thought the only way to "own" me was to break me.
the attempt did not garner him the slave of his dreams. what it got him was attacked and left alone.
if a sub/slave request to  be broken (something i personally wouldnt understand, but different strokes for different folks) then i can understand an attempt at it, with the proper instruction and care (before, during and after it is done), but to assume that any/every sub/slave a D comes into contact could and should be broken, or they are not ( now here's a good one) a "true" submissive is a ignorant and dangerous conviction to hold.
just ask my last dom.

Good post, apettiger. You make sense. Well done. I lift my hat to you respectfully.

One cannot correct what one does not understand, RRafe.

I am keeping mum because I had rather that those that lack the ability to comprehend think me a lunatic than that they take me seriously and start to experiment and damage the unfortunate objects of their ignorant bungling.

Exactly how did my post validate 'them'? I simply made it clear that I find it a shame when good threads go bad *cue music*.

And there is so much to be taken seriously...

In any case there is something far superior to a consensus at hand: me. That is why all ought to obey and attend to me, even though I am not that dominant at all.

Looking at your profile I see hardly any indication of a slave nature. You say that you are a submissive, but I see hardly any indication of that either. Perhaps you are an ordinary human, which was my first reply before I edited my post and changed it.

Oké, that is my third or perhaps my tenth convert. Six billion more to go... Anyone that does not convert may join Rover in eternal oblivion or damnation. (I recommend oblivion; damnation hurts.)

Your just another false Prohpet with his own personal fantasy who has by chance found another Internet entity with his own junior psychological paradigm that is nothing more than his own personal conjecture. Your both simply bouncing off each other, filling in the holes, and trying to seem more creditable than you really are.

Often the person that seems fit to judge other people, looks even worse than
those involved in arguing.

FWIW - I moved the topic of submissive/slave (and general BDSM experience) into a private conversation with Rover, and am conversingly privately with others on the matters of breaking.

For the derailment of this thread, I apologise to the OP and others. Camille, twistedkytten, joy, and silkfyre, I especially want to thank you for the input and insight you have provided. Often in discussions of this nature, it seems the very people who are most significant and can provide the most insight are the least likely to contribute and speak up.

Life is, in the end, for experiencing it - suffering and joy, pain and pleasure. Without contrast, we lack the capacity to truly appreciate each side of the coin. I hope that the suffering you have endured has allowed also your capacity for pleasure and joy to unfurl.

In honor and respect,

SixFoot

Mmm, very funny indeed RRafe, I found your comments particularly redundant and amusing.

I suppose that should be taken as his concession speech now that your almighty sub has spoken.

You rinse yours too?

Nothing like a good rinse cycle to have a girl on her toes.

If you're lucky, it may be a case of, "That too, slave." as opposed to, "Not exactly, slave."

I just love the precision with which you said that, grace, and so so spot on.
