I do not think abortion should be covered by government health insurance but i think it should be a payer option on private inssurance.
Abortion is more like optional cosmetic surgery and is not usually required for health.

Circumcision "IS" covered by most insurances public and private and is it a totally UNNECESSARY and COSTLY due to post operative complications.
Circumcision is not required for good health.

As for womens rights.... They suck! It is almost impossible to find an uncircumcised man in America. Scar tissue is not sexy.

I agree completely Lady Angelika, Its why I believe it should be a part of the bill. Being careful or not it should be acceptable, an abortion is much cheaper in the long run tax wise, then having to pay 80 plus years of health care for that child.

Also I shouldn't have to pay separate because I have a medical condition. I can not help I have this issue, I can do nothing to cure it.

Also if my mother who smokes drinks eats fatty foods and such will be eligible for free health care which has cost multiple thousands of dollars in medical expenses because of her own choices. Then those who choose to have an abortion for what ever reason, should be allowed the procedure.

Read what you wrote. Do you really, really espouse this opinion? Think about it for a moment...

Ok if this is your best pro choice stance I'm moving toward the pro life end of the spectrum with reference to this particular line of reason.

How about expecting personal responsibility in the matter, I don't recall it being federally mandated we fuck like rabbits.

does it waste less public money to pay for an abortion or to have the mother raise an unwanted kid on social security in a trailer park?
I find it completely disgusting that the people on your side of the Atlantic who are rabidly opposed to abortion are the same people with an objection to welfare spending.

Alright Ken. You want to be the judge and jury, fine. I hope you don't mind being on the stand.

I just took a look at your pics. You are a round little man. You realise that you have been neglecting your health? Not treating your body as a temple? So when the type 2 diabetes sets in and the heart pills are required, I hope you opt out of health care because really, you could have prevented it all.

Funny. Abortions are funded by healthcare in most western societies but I don't see stats saying that we have higher abortion rates than in the US.

How about education?

Won't argue that.    But the guys are left out of the loop because it is 'HER' body and he doesn't have a right to what is inside, she is the one with all the rights here.   Nothing about shared responsibility unless she chooses to keep the baby.

I do not condone using abortion for birth control. I do think women need more access to birth control pills.
I think it is much more moral to have an abortion than to bring ANOTHER unwanted child into this world.
Abortion is a choice and in most cases a GREAT CHOICE.

Do you think we should restrict health care to obese old fucks who could not say no to a donut so now they are so fat they can't see their feet.  That is a choice just like getting laid.
How about restricting health care to those fools who spent twenty years smoking?
Then of course we could restrict health care to someone with asbestosis or black lung because working in those industries was a choice.
So unless you agree to these and similar exceptions you really have no arguement.

Actually it has a few items within it I am intrigued by.

But I almost agree with you Ken....

I'm just concerned with the foggy details..............like this aborition issue that has a fair number of folks up in arms...

Actually I wasn't fat until I got diabeties.   Before that I was running thru the countryside carrying a 60 pound pack on my back making things go pop in the night at our countries request.   I used to run 6 miles every day for lunch.   I weighted 165 pound (skinny for my height) and consumed mass quantities.   you ever try running with a pro mask on.   Gotta tell you   it isn't fun.   So don't give that crap.   You just want me to pay for your indescritions (or those of others).   You just want to raise my taxes even more.   Or at least that is the way it appears.

Shared responsibility means you raise it together. Beyond that, there is no sharing. A man telling a woman she MUST have an abortion, or she CANNOT have one, is wrong on both sides. What is happening is happening to her alone, she is taking all the risks, no matter what she does. Men have no part until roughly 9 months later... if they are true men.

Abortion are a choice yes. And they aren't an easy choice to make. I don't condone it as a form of birth control neither. As far as having access to birth control pills, not all women can take them. Over the age of 35, they aren't recommended. When I was younger and tried taking them, they made me very ill. I educated myself on my other options.

Not all women have access to proper sex education. I went to catholic school and they taught me only abstinence. My mother would not talk to me about it either. Luckily a friend did because her mother talked to her.

What I'm trying to say is that none of this is black or white. There needs to be more education in addition to safe and funded abortions for women.
