You just want me to pay for your indescritions (or those of others).   You just want to raise my taxes even more.   Or at least that is the way it appears.

I'm sure you've lived a perfect life and never had to require medical attention for anything that was bad judgement on your part.

In any case, you and I have different taxes. I'll stay in my country where we treat people fairly, thank you very much.

Actually it has a few items within it I am intrigued by.

But I almost agree with you Ken....

I'm just concerned with the foggy details..............like this aborition issue that has a fair number of folks up in arms...

Yeah Bull   I guess my biggest 2 problems are

1.   Why is it my responsibility to pay for others.   I worked for my healthcare.

2.  If someone opts out, why should we put them in prision.

ROFLMAO   you don't know much about history do you      lol   This country rarely treats people fairly, historically.   but what does that have to do with abortions?

Seems like some people here, if they can't present an on topic response, just attack the person.    This is so funny

I am attacking your ideas, not you. I used you as an example so that it would hit home.

Rape, incest, medical necessity, they and possibly more circumstances are all good.   I have no problem  with that at all.  (see previous posts)

However, just having one cause you don't want the kid at my expense is a problem, at least to me

I tore my knees up for running with the weight of a pack, I kept my weight down, and all you can attack is me being a short fat fuck.

Come on   How is that having to do with abortion?

How do you like your tax dollars going to support some drug dealer in prison?

The methadone clinic down the street?

There are many things tax dollars support that i dont like. All of them with a huge toll to society if they are not dealt with. Funny thing though... most people only object to abortion... and health care.

What I have been trying to get you to see is that the situations are not so black and white. I realise that it is futile.

How do you know or who is going to be the judge on which circumstance is  and which circumstance is not okay? Several drs have seen me in my life for my issue, 2 have said that it would not be medically necessary, the other 13 have said it was, You need to understand that leaving it be an only "this" case, or "that" case is a can of worms that is going to create more harm then good.

An abortion is about 500 to 700 dollars total, the birth of a child is close to 7000 dollars, more if their is complications plus the half a million dollars to insure that child until its 18 and even more if its a government program,

your main argument is that it will raise your taxes... It will raise your taxes more to have the child then to not have it..

The bottom line in this debate is one person's morals vs another's. The anti-abortion crowd say they are morally opposed to abortion and therefore it should not be paid for by "their" tax dollars. Well guess what: everyone has something they are morally opposed to. I'm morally opposed to war (as we all should be) but I don't really have much say in how many of "my" tax dollars are spent on the military budget. Too bad for me.

I'm really sick of the "abortion as a form of birth control" argument. Does anybody really believe that women are out there having un-protected sex with no form of birth control because they know they can "just get an abortion"? Yeah, there are probably 2 or 3 woman throughout history like that, but c'mon, seriously? It's one of the most difficult decisions a woman can make. No one wakes up and says "Oh look - I'm pregnant. I'll just run down to Planned Parenthood and be over with it just like that!" It just doesn't work that way.

As a male, I'm pretty damn sure that I will never have to face the decision of having an abortion. So I don't see how my opinion - or the opinion of ANY male - matters in the least. The ONLY 2 minds that should EVER be involved with the decision are the woman who is pregnant and her doctor. Ain't nobody's business but their own!

And if we're going to have real healthcare in this country (we won't, but we can pretend) there is not one good reason why it should not pay for abortion.

Keep your religious views to your own damn self.

First, do not put words in my mouth. I would never use those words. I am not judgemental against those who are overweight. Everyone has their struggles in life. I was showing you an example. You got sick. You didn't ask to get sick. Maybe something you did contributed to this without you being aware of it. I feel for you as getting sick sucks.

So does getting pregnant when you've done everything in your power to avoid it short of not having sex. And this can happen to people who are in monogamous long term relationships, even married. All methods of contraception have a chance of failing and have side effects: http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/birth-control-methods.cfm#d

Bringing a child into this world is not a trivial thing. It changes someone's life dramatically.

What I am saying is stop doing the triage of who gets health care and for what. Healthcare is healthcare for everyone.

I do not condone using abortion for birth control. I do think women need more access to birth control pills.
I think it is much more moral to have an abortion than to bring ANOTHER unwanted child into this world.
Abortion is a choice and in most cases a GREAT CHOICE.
Got that right,,,,off the top of my head I can think of one mother in particular who could have did the rest of us a favor.....but I'm a gentleman and I won't carry this thought any farther.
