Ken, what would you say in the case of me? where its medically necessary even if ive done everything humanly possible to prevent it, should I die because I have had such a misfortune?

Rape, incest, medical necessity, they and possibly more circumstances are all good.   I have no problem  with that at all.  (see previous posts)

However, just having one cause you don't want the kid at my expense is a problem, at least to me

What I have been trying to get you to see is that the situations are not so black and white. I realise that it is futile.

Selective post reading?    How many times did I have to say it?

Oh! Please direct me to the post where you say that abortions should be fully funded by healthcare regardless of the reason for the abortion because it's not for anyone to judge. I missed it.

How do you know or who is going to be the judge on which circumstance is  and which circumstance is not okay? Several drs have seen me in my life for my issue, 2 have said that it would not be medically necessary, the other 13 have said it was, You need to understand that leaving it be an only "this" case, or "that" case is a can of worms that is going to create more harm then good.

An abortion is about 500 to 700 dollars total, the birth of a child is close to 7000 dollars, more if their is complications plus the half a million dollars to insure that child until its 18 and even more if its a government program,

your main argument is that it will raise your taxes... It will raise your taxes more to have the child then to not have it..

So you are saying that people should have abortions as an economic decision?   Not sure I understand here.   If you are saying that, then I call it personal responsibility and not my problem (short my exceptions).   As for whom decides.   How about the doc?   I am not qualified to determine what is medical necessity

I think is is funny how many people of the "religious" sector think abortion is bad but can't wait to mutilate the penis of thier new born baby boy (without anesthetic).

HELLO morals anybody?????

Women's rights????? HAHAHAHA

What about a baby's rights? What about a man's rights to a sound mind and healthy sex life.

Americans have to be selfish, LA.  The USA is the poorest country in the world.  Most of its inhabitants are close to starvation.

Anyway, it's only in primitive and barbaric countries that people go around looking after each other.  Yuk.

All right, admittedly, there was a bit of sarkyness somewhere in that remark.

Shit Ken seems some people here make such assinine statements not attacking them is nigh on impossible.Personally I think the various Ladies have been way to soft on your round little ass......heaven knows if I had shown up earlier I might have hurt your feelings...but just a little bit.Wouldn't want you to have a coronary or something.BTW how long ago was it you weighed 165...shit I'm 51 and still weigh 165...what happened to you?Diabetes just doesn't explain that paunch. Not all of it anyway.

Well the Americans I'm friends with and then Americans I'm related to do not have this mentality. But I unfortunately see many who do.

I am attacking your ideas, not you. I used you as an example so that it would hit home.

- LA

I tore my knees up for running with the weight of a pack, I kept my weight down, and all you can attack is me being a short fat fuck.

Come on   How is that having to do with abortion?

First, do not put words in my mouth. I would never use those words. I am not judgemental against those who are overweight. Everyone has their struggles in life. I was showing you an example. You got sick. You didn't ask to get sick. Maybe something you did contributed to this without you being aware of it. I feel for you as getting sick sucks.

So does getting pregnant when you've done everything in your power to avoid it short of not having sex. And this can happen to people who are in monogamous long term relationships, even married. All methods of contraception have a chance of failing and have side effects: http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/birth-control-methods.cfm#d

Bringing a child into this world is not a trivial thing. It changes someone's life dramatically.

What I am saying is stop doing the triage of who gets health care and for what. Healthcare is healthcare for everyone.

- LA

Your right   you called me short and round   lol   Haven't figured out the difference but ok   your right

My being ill is mostly a product of genitics and beyond my control, so at the bright young age of 17 I worked for my healthcare to solve that to the best of my ability.   Even my dandruff (which isn't really dandruff) is inherited from mymom.

So someone does everything right, short of keeping their legs together.   They get preg.   Where is it my problem to pay for their abortion thru my taxes?

Well in her defence, she did clarify what she said.

LA that "clarification" was lame....and didn't exactly walk back the cat.if you know what I mean.

How do you like your tax dollars going to support some drug dealer in prison?

The methadone clinic down the street?

There are many things tax dollars support that i dont like. All of them with a huge toll to society if they are not dealt with. Funny thing though... most people only object to abortion... and health care.

Dealers I think we should tie down, use my cattle prod on them till they quit making batteries or they die   whichever comes first

Why?

Wait!!!

Military insurance? Yeah, i get the part that you worked for it. I know what hard work that is, i grew up in it.

However, its not like you ever had to worry about the Fed Government canceling your policy. And i know what Champus and Tricare paid. Your insurance was part of your job. It wasnt something you had to work harder to get. Dont take this as a belittlement of your service... far from it. But if i had a job that guarenteed insurance, no way would i leave it either. Insurance was a benefit for you... not something you had to work hard to get. Some people in the service do little more than push paper and write articles. and some do the dirtiest of work. If you fell in the later group, that was your choice... much as you insist its the woman's choice to keep her legs closed.

It is not your problem. But you live in a society and get benefits from it. You are lucky that you could work. You are lucky that diabetes is all you have. You are very lucky that you can provide for yourself. You are lucky that you have internet access.

Do you ever stop for a moment and think about all the things in life that make you lucky?

Do you think that this isn't your right to be lucky, nor is it a privileged that has been accorded to you from some divine selection but pure randomness?

Don't you realise that as one human race we should be helping each other out?

Or is being selfish and judgemental giving you so much love and joy?

oh you are right.   the spine popped while running a short 2 mile run with no pack and so I had to quit running.   then the neuropathy in my legs makes it difficult to even walk (did I say diabetes here?)     An no   I don't drink.   Can't stand beer and quit drinking on Jan 26, 1969 whien I sobered up after losing a month.

Most women do everything that they can to not get pregnant and some still do. If they show receipts for contraception that failed, and a report from a health professional that they were educated on how to take them properly, should they get the funded abortion then?
