Only thing: 'snarky' is wrong. Just wrong. It sounds like someone trying to be sarcastic with a blocked nose. 'Sarky' is what's called for.

Actually, I do quite often, make an attempt to cut back on here because I have discovered that people misunderstand the written word much more frequently than the verbal.

In person, if I said the first sentence above, you would have no doubt I was teasing by the expression on my face. In writing, you have to know me better, and even then might question my intent.

Absolutely. The written word is quite different. Maybe a wee slip of a woman can get away with being all kinds of a gobshite to a bigger bloke, especially one who's 'muscle bound', when face to face with him. He might even find it cute . . . .

Me, people tell me I should smileys far more frequently. Some people really can't see it when I'm teasing. But smileys ruin it for me, unfortunately.

but then, one day,.. I tried it..

now..
