Status: offline 		So, what I am discussing has been brought up previously by others (men and women). Instead of contemptuously dismissing an idea, why not at least talk about it?

OR --- if it is a violation of TOS to want to improve this website so that GENUINE people can find each other --- then perhaps the caption on the homepage here should be changed??

Currently, the caption reads:
"The Largest BDSM Community on the Planet"

Maybe it should be changed to "The Largest BDSM Community But Includes Numerous Fakes and Liars" ??

Most other people DO perform searches, it is what the function is there for.

I am interested in meeting genuine people, I have met several off this site, hell I met my Owner here a couple of years ago and am now in a TPE relationship.

I have met one of my best friends in the scene on this site about 5 years ago, One good friend and play partner and a lovely girl I had a relationship with till her life changed.. not to mention many other people on a social basis...

And Cybersex? Really?

I can honestly say I have never had cybersex with anyone from this site and um... if thats what you feel it is mainly for maybe that is why you are attracting the wrong people?

The difference between them and you is perspective and perserverance.

When they 'met' someone online and it didn't translate into real life, they moved onwards and upwards. They didn't allow it to eat away at them and colour their view of online dating.

In the end, it's just pixels on a screen. YOU are just pixels on a screen until someone chooses to meet you in real life.

Once you get it all into perspective I promise things will improve and you will be a happier person.

You obviously DO NOT understand my point.

This is not "sour grapes" from me. I have successfully "met" several very interesting people here....BUT what I am saying is that it is very frustrating to deal with so many fakes and liars.

Incidentally, I have noticed profiles where people are listing the names of fakes and liars they have dealt with here. In other words, they use their profile to warn people about them. I have had the exact same experience with a couple of the names listed. However, I did not see that information until AFTER I went through the same experience. It certainly would have been helpful to know BEFORE I spent 2 or 3 hours (or more) chatting here or via email or Yahoo IM.

Status: offline 		And I am sincerely HAPPY for you. But, again, this has NOTHING to do with my personal qualities of perspective and perserverance. You guys are making this into a PERSONAL matter. I am bringing this up simply to trigger a discussion about how to make this website more useful and productive for EVERYBODY -- regardless of their personal patience or perspective or perserverance.

NOBODY rational expects to meet their soul-mate within 5-10 minutes. Everyone knows that "online dating" is a very time-consuming experience. Often, one types thousands of words -- and one asks and answers the same questions over and over again.

But wouldn't it make more sense to type those thousands of words and ask and answer all those same questions over and over again for GENUINE people?

Why should a person be deemed fake simply because as you said "they don't a pic" - maybe they do not want to send one to Dom A but do send one to Dom B, so what? And so what if they don't give their messenger ID, why should they straight away?

I am seeking a play partner, does that mean i consider everyone that messages me wanting to play? HELL NO - does that make me a fake?

Create your own site and make up your own rules and all the fake lists you want. Here it is not allowed and the profiles you mentioned naming names get reported when found and that content is deleted.

So go to another site with tougher criteria for members or one that requires video verification?

This has been done to death, there is even a sticky about why CM does not allow blacklists -

If you raise a topic that has been done till its dead then thrashed some more, that there are stickys about and expect people to want to talk about it all over again you will most likely be out of luck here.

Chances are if she raises the question that has already been answered lots of times and that there is a sticky about then yep, people most likely will be dismissive.

No. That does not make sense at all. For it to make sense, one would have to assume that all those 'fakes and liars' are not actually people at all, but elaborate AI programs. Everyone on here is a 'genuine person' as far as I know.. it's just some of them are fucking with you. Flesh, blood, sweat, tears.. that's the stuff of actual, genuine people. Use your own personal filters, own your interactions and if you can't discern between someone yanking your chain and someone who is really interested in you.. that's on you. Wise up.
