it has been this slave's experience that it is an altered state of conciousness, ~comparable to a trance state, like one achieved through meditation~ that can occur, with the only effort required being complete and utter letting GO during a scene with Master.

It's a fabulous place.

Eyes rolled up, dry mouth, lack of ability to speak coherently...all that.

Status: offline 		Don't think I can adequately describe it but the best way I can think of is when you completely let go and go inside yourself. Your not quite aware what is going on around you, you can't speak coherently, can't stand on your own, but its is such a wonderful place to be.

To understand the aware of the subspace is the first step ,
after then trying to find out the reasons how to have it again...
third step is trying to hold it longer (being in subspace more longer) ...

How???  it depends on the subs and every people has different taste.. :))

IMO :
For having all this , sub needs to find a trustfull Dom/me and give him/herself to Him/Her , who is also knowing the meaning of subspace...

Status: offline 		i think there are different levels of subspace. i have heard everything from feeling a little light headed after play, to a trance-like deep "space" during or after an intense scene ~ and many sensations in between ~ be attributed to "subspace".
i was recently branded, and though i never went into "deep space", i was undoubtedly in subspace for a long time after.

Status: offline 		I too think there are different levels of subspace and different play will bring different levels of subspace for me.

But, in answer of your original question, for me subspace is a place where my concious and even subconcious is allowed to 'float', sometimes I am aware it's happening and sometimes I am not.  I 'see' different things at different times when in subspace and I've learned that Master can directly influence what I see and feel when he so chooses.  An example is when I am floating he may choose to work with my energy to help me feel different things, or may lead my mind into seeing colors or such by his words.  I just float away and let him direct me and lead me where he wants be to go, or to show me.  And sometimes still, he wont take an active roll and just let me float and wander away in the clouds.

For me it's a trance like state, where all of me is so completely relaxed I have almost no controll if any at all.  It's a safe place for me, as I know Master is always taking care of me.

There are, but I don't think everyone can go as far as "subspace" could go. I for one, never really go further than feeling high even in my most severe scenes.

It is that place only he has ever brought me.  It is hard to explain, but for me beth said it the best.  It's like being in a trance.  Nothing can hurt me there.
