Depends entirely on who you talk to.

I really don't think there is. There is only the term that feels right to you and your partner.

I think LA said it all here.  This is a very recent and tired topic.  Were it years old, maybe....but it's too new not to search the other threads.

Heard an interesting comment on this question last week. The difference between submissive and slave is that a submissive includes two "I's" and a slave has none - both literally and philosophically.

That's a good quip.

Of course many masters want and desire there to be two "I"s  philosophically.
